We were looking forward to our visit at Harry Cipriani´s and went there on a sunday night. The restaurant was 3/4 full, mostly with larger groups of guests that celebrated some occasion and drinking a lot of Veuve Clicquout. The Spaghetti al´amatriciana were "out" to my disappointment. When I asked the waiter if it is possible to ask the chef... More

One great thing about this restaurant is it's proximity to the Sherry Netherlands Hotel in New York. The Sherry is a first class property. Cipriani is not. Not bad but not what I think of when I remember it's namesake in Italy. Bellini? They will make you a great one but the bar is very small. After the drink, everything... More

Having had visited Harry's a few times before tonight was a total disappointment. The service, always impeccable in the past was cold and virtually nonexistent. The waiter that took our order ignored us after doing so, water glasses not refilled, bread not served. One woman (a server I presume) barked at us with a scowl, I still have no idea... More

Excellent service and a good service by staff. Used it for good breakfast two times during our stay at The Sherry.

The original NYC Harry Cipriani at 59th and 5th is blessed with an impossibly good location in one of the best hotels in the City. It is a sister of the real original Cipriani in Venice. Having been to both, the NYC thing has given the experience an NYC flair: tables are closer, room is much louder, lots of see-and-be-seen... More

Having had a bad experience in Cipriani in London years ago and being in general suspicious of too famous or celebrity restaurants I was surprised about the quality of Harry Cipriani in New York. The crowd was an eclectic mix of locals, bohos, tourists and a rather large family celebrating the birthday of their young daughter wearing a crown. Service... More

This is the place to go in NYC if you want a rude waiter who doesn't listen and argues when they get it wrong. Had it not been for the wonderful maitre'ds intervention we would have walked out. And, yes, the prices are astronomic. Examples--tiny Bombay Sapphire martini at $22 and not made according to request. Salads begin at $20... More

My wife and I ate here and were really happy with it. She had the veal paso bucolic, I had the chicken. Both really tasty dishes. They made good mojitos, too. Lots of locals were eating here, which gave the feeling that it was a cozy, neighbourhood type of restaurant on the corner of Central Park.

What you are paying when you go to this restaurant is the location, that's all. As for food goes, it's above average (we will give them this) but not that much to pay almost $30 for a regular and simple salad. Additionally, I ordered a glass of sauvignon blanc and what they brought me just wasn't it. I have never... More
