Spacious comfortable dining room with good food and service

Ate here twice so I obviously found it to be good, first visit was on arrival in the city after flight from Dublin just wanted somewhere near hotel and a light dinner. It was a good choice they fitted us in with no booking and no fuss. We all just wanted one course and each found something that... read more

I stopped in for lunch one day on a whim and was surprised at the quality of service and cuisine. The atmosphere is lovely.

One out of three of us had an OK lunch, a sandwich. One of us had the spring rolls which must have gone right from the box of frozen spring rolls into the deep fat fryer. The small rolls had some mushy filling. The third lunch was a turkey burger that was raw and looked masticated. Really awful to look... More

Bryant Park Grill is on the back side of the NY Public Library, in Bryant Park at 42nd Street between 5th and 6th Avenues. It is a lovely mid-town location for brunch, with large bright rooms that overlook the park. The weekend brunch menu is price-fixed at $25.00 per person, which includes coffee or tea. The menu has something for... More

The Bryant Park Grill was selected on our first evening in New York as it was fairly well reviewed and close to our hotel. It is found behind the New York City Library, adjacent to a gem of an oasis - Bryant Park. It is a busy restaurant with excellent service but sadly, no conversation or interaction with the waiting... Saturday night with reservations, they easily accomodated 4 of us when we originally were 3. Our waiter immediately told us what was not available, which were quite a few of the dishes unfortunately. One of us got a lunch menu, so her selections were different until we realized something was different. In the end, we enjoyed the pork tenderloin with... More

This is such a pretty place, I have had several lunches here when visiting NYC. The location on 5th right behind the Library on Bryant Park is perfect. It is so nice to see the park and the bustle of the city but the beauty of the park. I had the Cobb Salad which was wonderful. One of my favorites... More

We had a very nice dinner at Bryant Park last week. Menu selection was broad and price of food and wine was reasonable. Quality and presentation of each dish was top notch. Our reservation request for a window table was provided by the friendly hostess. Service was attentive but not rushed. Definetly recommend and plan to visit on next trip... More

This place would be a good choice for those looking for the upmarket NY experience without the ridiculous prices. The menu has something for everyone and though a lot of the dishes sound simple (e.g. fish and chips) they really are done to perfection. I had the truffle ravioli and it was nothing short of stunning. Fantastic location too with... More

My best friend and I made reservations for lunch, to break up our Friday shopping day on 5th. The Cobb salad was recommended by our waitress, so we chose that! It was amazing - beautiful presentation, and loaded with good protein to aid in muscle recovery while we rested. The atmosphere was a bit busy, but it was Friday afternoon,... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
