Live music, awesome bartenders, and the manager is crazy friendly. The food is really great too--I highly recommend the sweet potato fries. This doesn't have the vibe of a hipster-trendy bar, but more of an energetic, neighborhood bar.

We actually were going somewhere else for breakfast, but there was a line when we saw Smith's. It didn't look like the kind of place that served breakfast, but yumm, it was. Our favorite was the waffle potatoes instead of hash browns with our eggs.

Need a reservation, and still way too noisey, but our excellent waiter, suggested the fried chicken and all 4 of us had it. Wow! it was one of the best fried chicken dinners i have ever had.

A good little bar, busy but service was good and you can watch the sports on TV whilst eating / drinking. Ideal for one of those nights you just need something simple.

This bar was on the corner of the street where we stayed. We went in for a couple of drinks and food. It was very busy with a great atmosphere. Turned out it was the closing night. A lot of locals/ regulars were there to give support and say goodbye. There was a really good band on and it was... More

Abby, one of the waitresses, was friendly and professional. The food was fantastic. The shakes were gorgeous, a meal in itself and the Idaho fries were just the best I have ever tasted. We went here about four times and each time ordered something different. I cannot believe they have now closed. It had been there for decades. It was... More

Stop here after a long day of sightseeing. Service was a little slow but we weren't in any hurry. Had the pastrami and corn beef sandwiches. They were large and delicious. They had a good beer selection and live music on Fridays. They have a bunch of TVs to watch sports. You can sit by the window and watch the... More

Loved their burgers, nice and juicy. Also sweet potato fries as a side without having to pay extra for the "upgrade"

We visited Smith's a few times during our long weekend in NYC - drinks one afternoon (the Fireball shots are great), cocktails and beers with live music on the Friday night (great atmosphere, superb service, busy but not unbearable) and breakfast Sunday morning (ok - the service was a bit hungover and a little slow, but I guess we weren't...
