What a wonderful surprise this restaurant had great atmosphere and excellent food at a bargain rate. Using Groupon for about $69 per couple we had three-course meals and upgraded our wine and it was still a bargain. We dined with friends early pre-theater. Muscles were sweet and wonderful, steak was perfectly cooked and excellent, gazpacho delicious. Onion soup delicious. And... More

My friend and I used a Living Social coupon for a 3 course meal for two. Over $150 worth of food for $65. The food was nothing short of fabulous. The restaurant isn't very big, so it makes up for it with only the best food. Located in the Village - it's easy to get to by bus or by... More

Food, service, location, staff, charm - all in one!! I have been there many times - even commuting from NJ. Always feel welcome and always well fed!

Just had an amazing dinner at Chez Jacqueline's on MacDougal st in the west Village. Anthony and Nikita (waiter and bartender) are a riot. Great food. Nice wine list.

The food was tasty and the ambiance lovely, but when we mentioned our Groupon, the service turned sour. First the waiter said he wouldn't take the Groupon, but changed his mind after some negotiation, then was horribly rude after that. Still, the Onion soup was delicious and the duck entree was spectacular. The white Bordeaux wine (one of the three... More

Our party of 4 had 2 Groupons or we would not have dined here. It took forever to be seated , even with reservations ,but that isn't entirely under a vendor's control we realize. Once we were seated, however, long wait times for service continued. Our server misinformed us on the Groupon included wine and then wanted to charge us the... More

Four of us often go to this charming neighborhood restaurant and never fail to have a good meal with good service. Any criticism of the waiter with the dark glasses seems to me to be way off the mark. He is friendly and knowledgeable with excellent New York patter. Not everyone from Dubuque may get it. We go there with... More

Excessively overpriced, remarkably mediocre, surprising in all the wrong ways. I am French, I've lived in Provence, I assure you that what arrived on my plate was, at best, a poor representation of what I know to be among the greatest flavors that can come from France. Meat that is dry, onion tart that is soggy, goat cheese heavy as... More

The food was really good but here was the rub. Our waiter was a 20 something male; tall, lanky with dark framed glasses. If you are reading this than you know who you are. You were very efficient. But you are a chauvanist and too young to be so. Why do you only talk to male guests? My wife asked... More
