We have had so many good meals at half the price in NY Service was v average and I can't even remember what I ate - actually the French onion soup was ok.

Had I read the reviews before trying this restaurant, I would've said No Way. However, the food was fine. The $28 pre-theater dinner was a lot of fine food. I had mussels first, truly sweet and delicious. I'll go back and sit at the bar for a dish of mussels when I want a small meal. The pappardelle al ragu... More

We were walking aimlessly in the Village, looking for a decent, reasonably priced restaurant, and we found it at Chez Jacqueline, a modest little place on MacDougal at Houston. We were greeted like old friends by Anna, who seated us at a window table and made us feel warm on a chilly night. The dirty martini was perfect, the Bordeaux... More

Bought a Groupon for three course dinner for two. Best investment ever. Made reservation and asked for a table by a window. Got it. Asked for my steak medium rare. Got it. Two appetizers. Both good . Artichoke stuffed mushrooms and calamari. Try the caramelized apple dessert. Liked it better than the Creme Brûlée. Will definitely be back.

I, the kid ordered a burger which was horrible(worst I've had). We also ordered a steak(which was over cooked)and squid ink pasta which was a mess. The only good thing was the grilled shrimp and the ice cream. Definitely don't waste your money on the groupon and just don't go. My dad ordered a lime and... It never came.

J'adore Chez Jacqueline. I thought I'd get that out of the way at the beginning. If you're looking for authentic French food, wonderful service and excellent value, look no further. My husband is French. We met and lived together in France so we chose a French restaurant for our first anniversary living in New York. I had the foie gras... More

For the price of two entrees, the groupon gave us a 3 course meal WITH a bottle of wine and a nice view of the West Village scene from our table by an open window. The food isn't the greatest, but it is nice and well prepared. The service is great.

What a cozy, little bistro in the heart of the west Village! We used a Groupon for a wonderful three course dinner off the menu including a $39 bottle of wine (the Bordeaux was quite good). The waiter explained that with the Groupon the price of any wine over $39 would only be reduced by 50%. The same was true... More

A nice small French restaurant in the village, the food is traditional French but with a twist, my scargos had tomato, my stakefrite had a terrific thick stake with souse on the side. Very intimate, service is okay but they forgot my vegs. I would not get out of my way to go there again but if in the area... More

I must admit I'm a sucker for French bistros and so I loved this little gem in the West Village. Very casual yet intimate. We both had steaks but different cuts and both were good. Excellent French fries! I also enjoyed my appetizer of chicken livers and green beans. Only negative was they forgot our side order of green beans.... More
