Do Not Go!

The food was just ok. The service was the worst I have ever experienced. Our waitress was more interested in flirting with coworkers than serving us. We had to get up and get our own water refills and another tables waiter came to help out because of her lack of service. An 18% tip was already... read more

When my friend and I arrived for lunch, we noticed that not a single piece of the silverware was clean - I'm talking gunk stuck on the forks and knives. I quickly observed the empty tables around us only to find they were just as dirty. We couldn't leave fast enough.

A light lunch of calamari and limoncello with a girlfriend and a very friendly local that we nicknamed "Guiseppi the Singing Gigolo". Great way to enjoy a beautiful sunny summer day in Little Italy!

Since I am a huge fan of seafood, I had the Seafood Risotto which was delizioso! This went over nicely with a bottle of Montepulciano. The Tiramisu' is so good. The waitstaff was attentive, friendly and funny. The pictures of famous wise guys on the Restaurant's walls made me feel I was in the Mob Museum (in Las Vegas). Will... More

avoid eating there. That's my general rule. But in the Chinatown/Little Italy area it's impossible to avoid, you pause on the street in front to read a menu and out they pop to drag you in. And honestly, they're all pretty crap. The Chinese bakeries are the way to eat in this part of town, follow the locals. But we... More

Okay - it wasn't horrible, but that says it all. Went there with a party of three, food was okay(-ish), but didn't resemble how it had been described in the menu very much. What about the frozen peas, broccoli and artichokes in th melanzane? Maybe that was meant to replace the eggplant, which was difficult to find in that dish,... More

Went with a party of 8. Ordered all entrees and there was a 30 minute lag between the 1st entree delivery and the last. Food was good but you go out to dinner with people to all eat together! Waiter never gave us bread (as every other table around us had) or refill on waters. Terrible service but good food.

The food in Taormina is very good the service is very good as well. The sauce is almost as good as my mother in laws and that is not easy to say. I would recommend this place to my family. PM

Staying in Little Italy

Neighborhood Profile
Little Italy
While Little Italy is one of the city's smallest neighbourhoods, its streets are packed with visitors from around the globe, especially on summer weekends when the streets are closed to traffic. Stroll up Mulberry Street, the heart of Little Italy, for a dense mix of Italian restaurants with sidewalk tables, cafes, and old-school food shops. Don’t be surprised when the hosts beckon you to pay them a visit. Stop in for a coffee and a cannoli, or grab a streetside table to take in the scenery over a hearty Italian meal.
