The former Mambo Italiano, today successful Taormina, is simply a guaranteed great fare and ambiance in Little Italy! New pizza parlor inside, live music, exceptional Neapolitan fare, under terrific management by owner Marcello and stupendous chef Peppe, able to literally catch the fish of the day for you...Plus, a truly Little Italy atmosphere, with lot of fun and no pretention...just... Poor service - had to ask waiter to take order. Meanwhile we had to put up with cigarette smoke from the spruiker - our table was just inside the cafe. Saw waiter only once again when he poured the first glass of our wine - he never enquired as to how our meal was etc. I ordered a seafood spaghetti... More

My cousins and I stopped here to eat the other night and we could not be more disappointed. The wait staff is horrible, extremely unattentive and the price of the dishes did not meet the quality. I would never recommend this to anyone. Also, cash only. We went to an amazing bakery down the road and we were able to... More

I wish I had checked trip advisor before impulsively walking into this restaurant. The Open air dining with great decor was appealing, everything else sucked! The $22 antipasta looks like they sent the dishwasher to the Grand Union to buy cold cuts and olives. The spaghetti and meatballs was mediocre at best! Then they had the nerve to add 18%... More

We just wanted a bite and my husband saw a sign for $6 for a slice of pizza and PBR. That was perfect for us! We were strolling in Little Italy. We got essentially small personal size pepperoni pizzas that were delicious. The Pabst Blue Ribbon was thirst quenching. Carlos, who speaks Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, and who knows how many... While travelling around the world, i am evating both: street foods, michelin star restaurants or regular restaurants like everyone... I've eat pizzas in many different countries but it was the worst experience... Actually tonight we have looked around and liked the ambience so entered in that disgusting restaurant. Sorry for the word but it deserves: service, wines, pizza, risotto... All... More

Food was delivered hot, medium rating for taste. Some of the other restaurants in the are are on my recommendation list. Trying to get service during the meal and needing to pay was horrible waiting experience.

It's the week of the annual Feast of San Gennaro. Random pick for this place. Service was slower than slow. Took 45 minutes to get our food after ordering. When my dish came out, it was only hot in the center. This to me, means that it was microwaved. Had a gummy texture. Just wasn't good. When the waiter finally... More

Ladies & Gentlemen, this is my 112th review and counting. Nice place to have dinner at, good atmosphere and the waiters are very supportive and trying to exceed customers expectations, without putting it into action. Asked for peper serveral times, didn't get it, water we got, but it has taken some time. Food was good, waiter always had a smile... More

...I would. We had the most horrendous service at Taormina. We were lured in by their $6 cheese pizza and beer deal, which seemed pretty OK for a quick snack. Not a good idea at all. Service was incredibly inattentive, they "ran out" of the cheese pizza and ended up charging more for a pepperoni slice, and my boyfriend had... More
