We waltzed in here expecting a traditional Italian meal but were disappointed. The children had pizza which to be fair they did say was ok! But my youngest daughter said she was not going to eat here at all because the table and cutlery was not clean. She didn't eat a thing! I ordered spaghetti and meat balls which I... More

Stay away! You think you can't go wrong preparing Italian food? Think again! We've eaten in many Little Italy NYC restaurants. Tonight we decided to eat at Taormina, because they had beautiful little tables outside. BIG MISTAKE! We were seated by Jose, who turns out to be the brother of the owner. Within minutes, he started yelling at a waiter.... More

For the price we paid for pizza, we shouldve had 2 ANY where else. The service was also slow and just couldnt believe people were actually eating there, but like us, didnt know until after it was too late.

Went to visit little Italy for our last night in NYC- what a mistake that was after visiting this dive. Staff were friendly and promptly seated us, I asked what the specials and I was told. Looked through the massive menu and decided to share starters of calamari and a special stater of mozzarella wrapped in Parma ham for main... More

Taormina is located in the heart of Little Italy at 145 Mulberry Street. It advertises, "John Gotti's Favourite Restaurant." We sat on the outside patio that opened into the larger restaurant where we enjoyed people watching and the accordion player who serenaded us at our table. Service was slow but we enjoyed relaxing and some down time from sightseeing. The... More

Their menu says John Gotti's favorite restaurant. That's because nobody would bother looking for him there. Server was busy doing nothing. Food was horrendous just short of industrial grade. Don't bother.

This is in the heart of Little Italy. Sat at an open window table since it was a beautiful day. Great service, good food, and decent wine. Had lunch and it was about $25/pp with wine. Enjoyed people watching while we ate and it wasn't crowded.

Simple message don't eat here and especially don't get fooled by the specials. The food is very average and they boost the price by expensive drinks, not including in your meal everything on the specials board and including on the bill a 20% service charge for pretty poor service. I don't know if all of the restaurants in Mulberry Street... More
