Go and get the hot chocolate then try everything. The eclectic facade and indoor design matches with the buzz. Local hang out spot for many or meet up place for going forward. Drink your coffee and relax.

We went here for breakfast. I had the pancakes and they were really delicious; the other cooked breakfasts had good reviews too. Staff were attentive and nice atmosphere, with lovely views of union square. Would recommendations!

Every December we stay a night in NYC and end up at breakfast at the Coffee Shop. It's consistently great service and food year after year.

Good for brunch anytime of the day and not just for weekends. The hangover sandwich is worth the trip.

I have eaten here a few times. Once around Halloween where there was no one in the early morning and we had a great experience. But recently we went close to Christmas and it was packed. Our waitress seemed like a striving model who could not be bothered to wait on us much. I was served coffee in a small... More

Fish tacos, barbeque chicken sandwich, Brazilian food along with burgers and pork chops all on the menu. Big portions but importantly matched with great taste too.

Monday night pre Christmas get together, group of 4 people on a Monday night. I arrived very early and, as since hadn't been here before, went in to check it out. Was met by Samantha who was very helpful (to the extent of asking a bartender about something she wasn't sure about). Later on when the rest of the group... More

This diner offers friendly staff and a great menu with plenty of choice for the health conscious and those who are less so! Between us we tried the pancakes, bacon, poached eggs, scrambled eggs, and granola with raspberries, and all were very good. The freshly squeezed juice is great too.

Staying in Flatiron District

Neighborhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of the city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets - much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighborhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being home to a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
