Zero stars. Overdressed, limp salads whose hot components were killed prior to plating. Chops weren't frenched and they were thin--though they tasted good I was moderately ill afterwards and my stomach didn't settle until the next afternoon. This restaurant loads online sites with sympathetic reviews by friends and employees, I can only assume. Crap on a plate, beware. more

My husband and I lived in this neighborhood (Sutton/East Side) for 5 years and we were regulars at Via Oreto. It's a wonderful little place! Elegant, yet cozy, and very very friendly. Most of the people who eat there are local regulars, so the staff gets to know you and it makes the atmosphere very welcoming. The food is excellent.... more
