Soooo good!

A little bit off the beaten track but worth seeking it out as you get to explore Greenwich Village at the same time. Faicco's a delish little Italian deli with gorgeous Italian meats and treats. Yummo!

We discovered Faicco's Italian deli part way through our stay in Greenwich Village - fantastic! We had two "heros" - one with mozzarella, tomatoes and dried tomatoes,, basil etc and the other included chicken, dried tomatoes and spinach. Hugely generous fillings - one sandwich definitely enough for two, three or even four, depending how hungry you all are. Couldn't recommend... More

I read about this place on trip adviser and we went to get a sandwich to take to Central Park for a picnic. We asked for advice and got really excellent service. We had the Italian special which has I think three types of ham and salami plus mozzarella and roasted peppers. The sheer weight of it is impressive and... More

In this sort of Little Italy outreach -- but New Yorkers well know that this section of the West Village is an old authentic Italian-American enclave -- you will find the best lasagna and the near-best eggplant parmigiana in town. If you are in a spiritual mood, don't miss the Mother of Pompeii church at the corner with Carmine Street:... More

Stopped in here to pick up a couple of sandwiches for brunch. They are filled full with delicious fresh meat which was sliced in front of us. We got one each however I would recommend sharing a sandwich as they are very big, we have put the other half in the fridge for tomorrow!

Wanted to get a real Italian deli sandwich whilst in NY. Found this place on FB and we were so glad we did. It was beyond excellent with so much meat. We bought 1 each. Mistake!! They are so big, but man they are good. Had them in Central Park for a picnic which is the way to do it.

OK, Faiccos is not a restaurant, lets get that straight! Its a butcher / deli / sandwich shop. And its REALLY good! You know its the place to go when you get there and there is a line from the counter to the door. You take a number and one of the 8-10 butchers makes your sandwich in no time.... More

I work in Midtown Manhattan and we were having a presentation and my friend Dennis who i work for suggested we get sandwiches from Faicco's. he said he knew the owner and the sandwiches were great. I ordered 16 sandwiches and they were the best i had in Manhattan ever. The veal parm as excellent and the chicken cutlet, with... More

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
