Great food, mediocre service

The food is great -- prime steak and lots of it! Service was sub-par, though. It's the little things that are missing -- food delivered to the wrong people at the table (although the food was all cooked properly), wait staff reaching across the table and interrupting conversations, no offer of... read more

Even though we had an awful time at the Waldorf, breakfast was great. The food was lovely, it seemed fresh and there was plenty to eat. One waiter was constantly topping up out juice and coffee. It was nice to get buffet and food to order.

When I caught sight of the amazing bar, I was drawn in and just had to stop for a drink. It's timeless! The bartender was as if he had just popped out of a time machine.

Managed to squeeze in here for an evening meal whilst staying at the Waldorf...the food was ok, but nothing special, but the lighting was so dark it was difficult to see anything. Probably the most reasonable place to eat if staying.

We stayed at the Waldorf Towers for 5 days. We ate breakfast at the Bull & Bear every morning. The made to order omelettes & cappuccinos were delicious. The breakfast is buffet style with a lot of choices. What made our breakfasts so enjoyable was our waiter, "ZIGGY." He greeted us with a smile every morning and made sure we... More

We love steaks and Bull & Bear didn't disappoint. I ordered the Fillet Mignon and it was cooked to perfection. So crispy and juicy. My mouth is watering as I am writing this. Definitely one of the best steaks in the world. Service was astounding. I will return!

I wanted a digestive after dinner drink. Most bartenders will make a compare with club soda and add orange twist and some other concoctions, but the bartender did not know what I was talking about. The people watching was fun. The girl next to us ordered something without ham and it came with the ham in it. Might have been... More

Probably the best Steak I have ever had. Amazing Art Décor Restaurant and bar... Which as we were staying at the Waldorf was a easy walk down through the lobby.

The waiter took forever to even ask if we wanted a drink, took even longer to actually bring them, and was suddenly very pushy about getting the food order in. When he brought the check, I began to review it, he became concerned and asked if there was a problem. I told him, "No, I'm just reviewing it," at which... More

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
