Quality meat served with great skill and attention. Meat is not the only item on the menu but it is what this place excells at. The drinks are good too. Be prepared as the final bill could give you indigestion! This is part of the Waldorf where everything is the finest possible. Reservations not always necessary.

I liked their Drinks, specifically the old "waldorf" fashioned. The salmon was cooked perfectly, disappointing was that there were no side dish with the entree price, had to order separately, they are big portions for side dish and expensive.

This is located in the Waldorf, and as expected it is expensive. To be honest, I would suggest making a few block hike to the capital grill for the same experience in food at a 30-40% discount. The experience was good and the steak I got (New York Strip, it is New York after all) was tasty and perfectly cooked.... More

Ate here twice while staying at the Waldorf Astoria in Manhattan. Nice atmosphere and pretty good layout with bar in the center and table surrounding bar and into adjacent room. The Waldorf Astoria is a historic hotel with character and this is also the case for the Bull and Bear with nice finish materials and décor. Staff: Wait staff we... More

This restaurant is in the Waldorf Astoria - we had to sit at the bar as nothing available for 3 hours. That was OK - bartender was wonderful. We both got burgers (well done - which normally isn't a problem) - but these were VERY, VERY overdone. We didn't complain as it took 35 mins for them to arrive. Very... More

Don't know about the cost, don't know about the food, but one of the Waldorf Astoria's saving graces is the bar at the Bull & Bear. Bartenders do a great job with the classics. interesing crowd, mostly business travelers I'd guess. But if that's you and you're staying at the W-A, it is an above average hotel bar.

The atmoshere was elegant and old world like the rest of the Waldorf Astoria. Unfortunately, I was seated at a table was so close to the table next to it that none of the parties could get up without actually moving the tables. There was a whole row of these tables across the back of the restaurant. The servers and... More

We had reservations on a Saturday night in January. We arrived on time and were told it would be about 15 minutes for our table, so we went to the bar and enjoyed lovely service from the bartender. After a half hour no one came to tell us our table was ready so my husband walked over and was told... More
