Ruby Foo’s brings the bold flavors of Beijing, Bangkok and Tokyo to Times Square in a big-box setting that is as boisterous as it Broadway neighborhood. Described as “imaginative” by New York Magazine, the 300 seat space and approachable Pan-Asian cuisine is perfect for dinner pre or post show, lunch with clients, brunch with kids, private parties, and any other occasion imaginable. People watch at a Broadway-facing table over pad thai, sample some of the best rolls in the neighborhood at the 20-seat sushi bar, share assorted dim sum at a banquet and finish with a Dessert Bento Box. Tight on time? Take freshly-baked theater treats like Chocolate Chip Cookies and Caramel Popcorn to go. Or, get sushi and dim sum delivered to your door!

Sushi to Chinese to Japanese... they have it all and it is good. Sauces not to thick. Sushi is great. Chicken teriyaki is good. Eat here every NYC visit.

We discovered Ruby Foo's several years ago and keep coming back. The Chinese food is excellent and prepared fresh. Same with the sushi. Given its location, I was concerned it would be a tourist restaurant designed to simply turn over tables as quickly as possible. But I was introduced to it by a local and it appears to be popular... We went to this location because a friend recommended the coconut sticky rice and found that it was not on the menu. When we asked, our waiter Scott stated that he was also disappointed when it was removed but didn't know why. We asked to speak with the manager, Brian, and he informed us that the corporate office chefs change... More

we had a post theatre supper herewith great tamarind ribs and a dim sum platter. Service good and lovely decor. Not sure if the dim sum dumplings should be served stone cold!

What would you expect from the theatre district except over-the-top ambiance. I went with my daughter for Sunday matinee lunch last year and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. This time I came with a colleague for a late dinner. Same wonderful atmosphere; same good service. Food selection was more limited, but still tasty, and for its location, it is a reasonable... More

not too expensive, super quick service. Food was ok, not great. Nice miso soup though. Very convenient for pre-theater dining. Would go again.

This was just what you would expect from a restaurant between Times Square and the big Broadway theaters. There were huge groups eating at the tables on either side of ours. The food was okay, but it was definitely Americanized Chinese. My husband ordered an enormous cocktail that had a blue flame when it was brought to the table. The... More

We stopped in for lunch right after checking in at our nearby Times Square hotel. The dim sum was really great and the service was awesome. Really great Times Square location in the heart of it all. The restaurant is large enough that seating shouldn't be a problem. The menu has some great options on it and there's the full... More

I made a habit of tying Ruby Foos into any matinee on Broadway over the past 20 years. This was a return visit after five years of being away from New York and off we went to see American in Paris, coupling it with lunch at Ruby Foos. The staff was courteous and the food wonderful. I was only disappointed... More

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
