Excellent!

Small joint in West village off the tourist path. Excellent food. They don't take reservations, but its worth the wait. Everyone seemed to enjoy the Conch Fritter.

really nice seafood restaurant in the West village. The Lobster roll was great. Very popular (a number of people waiting outside for it to open, and filled up in no time).

I first went here in 2011 and wrote a scathing review. I went back and didn't regret it. I now go back on every trip - I can't recommend it enough. I even queued in the snow for a table. Mary's has become one of my favourite restaurants in NYC.

Mary’s Fish Camp had a lot to live up to. We met an American in Dukes Bar in London last October who lovingly described each stage of preparing a lobster roll at Mary’s Fish Camp, as observed from the bar that circles the kitchen. He said it was the best lobster roll in NYC. We arrived on a busy Saturday... More

We've been to this place several times and really loved it. The restaurant is small and funky and often crowded, but the food never disappoints, and the unpretentious ambiance and friendly staff makes for a delightful experience. Everything's great -- we particularly loved the Warm Bagna Càuda with Crudité of Autumn Vegetables.

This place is quite great! The service was accomodating; we had a large group, they dont take reservations, and everyone wasnt yet present, and they still allowed us to sit, in the height of dinner at 730. You could really taste the food is freshly prepared and good quality. There are options for everyone and enough to share in an... More

Delightful team and a menu to die for. We ordered a few things and shared. If you like your fish and seafood this is one hot NY spot to aim to for lunch. Yum! The chowder is pretty much unmissable.

Great place with delicious seafood, crabs and lobsters. Big change, mot is now open on Sunday and as they don it accept reservation plan on being there early to avoid long line. All is good but lobster roll and spicy, Mexican pozole are probably among the best items on the menu. I've been there first time some 10 years ago and... More

It's a small restaurant and they don't take reservations however we were able to get two seats at the counter. The service is friendly and quick, tables constantly did become available however we were having a great time watching the open kitchen. The baked shrimp were a little overcooked however still delicious in a garlic/chilli butter. The sea bass (daily... More

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
