Description: JoJo offers relaxed yet elegant dining on two floors of a quaint, turn-of-the-century brownstone on the Upper East Side. The first of Jean-Georges’ restaurants in New York City, this neighborhood gem opened in 1991 to rave reviews. It was voted best new restaurant of the year by Esquire magazine and has retained its three-star status from the New York Times for 21 years. Regarding the name, JoJo was Chef Jean-Georges’ nickname as a young boy. Jojo is a hospitable setting for a casual dinner, special occasion, or private party. Guests can feel comfortable in jeans or in evening attire. The contemporary French menu still features some well-loved original dishes, including the Warm Valrhona Chocolate Cake.

We chose the 3-course restaurant week lunch - two choices for appetizer, entree, and dessert. I had the watermelon gazpachao (outstanding), roast chicken (ok) and blueberry financier with ice cream on the side (surprisingly tasteless). Excellent value, but we spoiled the effect by ordering an expensive bottle of white wine (we were celebrating two birthdays)! The service was very good... More

I love this restaurant as it is like eating at a friends elegant, warm, home! The staff are friendly and attentive and the food is very good, plenty and most appealing. The Warm Chocolate cake was amazing! we went for Restaurant Week. It was truly lovely!

The food here is decent, although the price is not worth the quality. It is a nice restaurant and ambience and the service is great. My wife and I just did not leave feeling blown away, which is disappointing because this spot could have become a regular place for us. For about half the price you can go to Donohue's... More

This restaurant was highly recommended by friends from the city. I ordered the crab cakes to start with and and the lobster for mains. I wouldn't say either of them were exceptional...the others on our table though seemed to enjoy the lamb chops and the duck. The service however was excellent and the atmosphere intimate and welcoming.

I am a true foodie through and through but, i am not a fan of stuffy. Jojo is an upper east side staple I having being going to for years. Although in a "stuffy" neighborhood it is anything but. Snuck away on a week night this week to have dinner with my other half. Their summer menu did not disappoint.... More

Whilst enjoying a 3 day break in NYC I had the pleasure of having dinner at JoJo's! What a delightful restaurant!! Even though I was a visitor to New York I felt as though I were a local eating at my local restaurant! The service was warm, attentive and professional, the food delicious and the wine list offered some fabulous... More

We've been clients since it opened and still enjoy dinner. I prefer to start with soup......pumpkin or sweet pea or whatever is the soup of the day. Then roast chicken. Dale often has the risotto. Last night she had a lobster dish. Terrific place. The only knock is that it's small and, therefore, the tables can be cramped. We prefer... More

JoJo didn't impress. The place was typical of what I dislike about established New York restaurants. We were seated downstairs at a tiny round table for four, cramped up against other diners and with an army of waiters rushing hither and thither right by us but, try as we might, we couldn't get a drink or place our food order... Jojo is located in a nice part of 64th St. The service is Ok, I enjoyed very much the food (lamb), the decoration may need some renovation. But after all it was a nice evening.
