Surprisingly Good Food on Broadway

A choice for after the theatre. We were greeting by the hostess on the main floor and sent upstairs. We were quickly seated and presented with the menu. It was also Restaurant Week in NY so we were also presented with the Prix Fixe Menu. We chose that menu and the food was excellent. Portion... read more

While the food is quite good, the staff seem to be bothered having to serve patrons. The attitude is forced polite. Two times the food runners tried to give us another tables meals. Front of house needs a new manager who can motivate the staff.

We went with a range of appetizers rather than entrees... Had the beet salad, braised broccoli, edamame, grilled Spanish octopus, sushi rolls, sushi, etc. All were excellent. Service was great. The Blue Fin martini was quite nice, as was the wine list - both bottles and by the glass. A fun atmosphere and a good value!

Part of our stay at the W Hotel Times Square was a $100 credit at Blue Fin, and my wife and I took full advantage of the opportunity! The restaurant is undergoing a renovation, but you would never know it. The staff was friendly, courteous and very accommodating of my multiple food allergies. Well informed servers and chefs are important... More

It used to be a sushi bar downstairs and sit down restaurant and bar there, as well as an upstairs restaurant. Well downstairs is closed and upstairs is this odd, long narrow restaurant without windows. Feels a title awkward, e menu was okay, actually the Branzino was nice, but the octopus app was chewy and almost deep fried in texture.... More

Food was decent, not great. Service was not up to par with intention of restaurant. Thus, was overpriced. Meant to be a trendy spot and just fell short. Didn't help that there was construction going on as well.

With so many excellent places to eat I'm not a fan of dining in a hotel resturant especially in New York city. We were pleasantly surprised at the Blue Fin at the W hotel. The resturant has a wonderful ambiance with an excellent and attentive staff. Nicol our maitre'd provided a complimentary watermelon, tomato and mozzarella salad. It was delicious.... More

Blue Fin is always on the list for meals before or after a show. Had lunch there this week and we all had pretty good meals. Construction on the first floor was a bit noisy, but once the second floor filled up, you could not notice the construct noise. Looking forward to the new Blue Fin.

Delicious food and great service. The location in Times Square is perfect if you are trying to catch a show but it is still a very relaxing atmosphere. Everyone in my family had something different and everything was amazing.

I had been here about 13 years ago and enjoyed it then. This time the food did not disappoint. I had a delicious sweet corn soup to start. My main course was the haddock and it was just perfect- the fish was moist and cooked perfect and the gnocchi with lemony sauce was so yummy. I really loved it. My... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
