A good choice (not touristy) at time square

Serious seafood lovers can count on this member of the BR guest hospitality group. Fresh seafood, good service and for the fish adverse: salads, chicken and steak too. When the decor is refreshed ( the banquettes show thei wear and tear) one more "circle" will be in order. One of the very few... read more

Another restaurant I used to go to when I was worked. My wife and I gave it a try on our short stay in NYC. One thing that was nice was that it was Restaurant Week and they had a three course meal for $38.00. My wife started with the Peach Salad. She is not a fan of bitter field... More

The place was really busy. Drinks took to long but the food came out fast. I had omelette and it was unflavored. Been in better places.

Had relations in from Europe staying nearby, so took advantage of Restaurant Week to try this place for dinner. All in all, a great experience! At first we were a bit worried as we reserved for 7pm on Friday, and when we entered (although not steep, they do have stairs here for those that might have a problem with them)... More

First, many thanks to our server Daniel C. who was attentive, made helpful suggestions, and was just very sweet. The smoked octopus appetizer was awesome! I love the uni sushi and the salmon and eel roll. My son did not care for them so we ordered another appetizer for him which was served promptly. The sorbets for dessert were tasty... More

Being able to build a dinner out of appetizers is a wonderful pleasure at the Blue Fin. Dining solo is sometimes a challenge at seafood restaurants because there is no one to share the typical shell fish towers. However at the Blue Fin I was able to combine an oyster sampler, tuna tartare and a "lobster cocktail" which turned out... More

I was tired after the theatre and hadn't had anything to eat that day. I happened upon it and the sign out front listed sushi so I went in. I had to climb stairs to get to the restaurant and it was hot. I had one plate of sushi and it was no better than what I could have gotten... More

Arrived when they opened and because we didn't have reservations, we could only sit at the bar (either on barstools or at a few small tables for two). Selected the Prix Fixe Lunch at $25 each which came with three courses: Appetizer (choice of soup, salad, or something else), Entree (choice of a Soft shell crab sandwich, a Cold Salmon... More

Ok this place came highly recommended, and boy, they server, Darryl, was out of sight! Very informative, well acquainted with the menu, and friendly. We were celebrating our Aunts 90th birthday. she loved the food, and especially the dessert. Try the Spicy Miso eggplant, roasted beets and goat cheese salad, grilled octopus and the warm pecan crumble cake!! Yum, yum!!... More

Best lobster ever! The way they grilled lobster is perfect. A little pricey but it's worth it. Very nice setting.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
