ARTSY FOODIE?

We love MOMA and have to eat lunch or a snack here after hours of taking in the art show. The service is terrific, and the food is well prepared, pretty and tasty, too. This is not a place to go if you are really hungry.

They took 25 min to serve us 3 slices of cheese for 16usd. Expensive and small portions. It took so long to get the entries that we decided to leave and don't order the main course. I would not come back.

It was a gamble that we could get a table, and a long shot at that. Still we ducked out of an exhibit and into the restaurant with barely a second thought. Everything was perfect. I don't recommend doing this often, if you know you're going to MoMA, you may as well plan ahead. A superb wine list, and delightful... More

Moma's restaurant is certainly a step above any other restaurant in a museum. The food is nice, elegantly presented, elegantly flavoured, the view from the floor to ceiling windows is stunning. The restaurant itself is reasonably average atmosphere and ambience wise. A little something that just takes away the wow factor, a pleasant experience all in all, but for the... More

The popular habit of putting as many ingredients as possible into a single dish just doesn't appeal to me, so I had trouble deciding on any of the selections on the prix fixe menu. I started with something that included mussels and apples (wasn't any better than it sounded) and had a pork dish of which the main portion was... More

Great food - delicious and very well presented. The portions where enough - not huge but good and when the complimentary 'extra's' where included it was a good sized meal. The service was excellent - very friendly staff who where also knowledgeable about the menu and wine. Nice atmosphere and didn't feel hurried or hassled at all. Good for couples... More

When I think of most museum restaurants, I usually think of pre-made hamburgers and stale sandwiches, but that wasn't the case at MoMA. The food was very good, though it is a little pricey and the portions (at least for the sampler) are small.

Definitely a must try.. Highly recommend especially for intimate dinners. The service was absolutely faultless, and the food delicious.. The truffles at the end were an absolute to delight, I just couldn't stop eating them

This place is incredible. Totally happening bar within th Museum of Modern art. Food and drinks are brilliant and there is associated Michelin starred restaurant which is also brilliant and incredible value. This place is a must see if you are in New York

This really is a necessity if you are here to see a lot of art.A good respite from going from exhibit to exhibit. The museum's food is quite decent. Enjoy the whole thing. Jeremy T

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
