Lunch stop

Read about this place in a guide book and we weren't let down. Stopped for a burger and a beer, I had the bbq and blue cheese, hubby had 3 mini burgers so he could sample a few, and all were delicious. Beer was cold and service was prompt and very friendly. Would definitely go back.

Drawn by the old red brick building, we discovered P.J. Clarke's a few years ago. Just returned to P.J. Clarke's after we checked in to our hotel as the time was right for us to beat the crowd. A great pub for the after-work social scene, this place quickly becomes busy. Rather than being seated at an aisle table with... More

Historic saloon with great burgers! All six of us had different burgers and all of us were happy with the food. Our waiter Mat was amazing - I would say he is one of the best waiters I have ever had. He was attentive and helpful with suggestions. A lovely smile and a nice personality. He made our experience extra... More

Located at the base of Manhattan's Empire Hotel, P. J. Clarke's has the rich wood and decor reminiscent of a 20's prohibition speak easy, which it may have been. A very comfortable eatery with a view of Lincoln Center, we stopped by for lunch and came away very satisfied. In a city renowned for it's Delis, the Reuben I ordered... More

When a friend told me "u have never tried a burger like this", I thought it was joking. "You are talking about burgers. It's not difficult to cook a burger. Burgers are burgers". Not at all. I don't really know how they cook them, but those burgers are amazing. Best burgers in the world. The perfect burger exists. It belongs... More

Out of the Met Opera, almost 1 am, starving, PJ Clark's to the rescue! Great food, very nice place, service wasn't so great but good enough, and not pricy. Try the crab cake, is delicious!

This was the first time for us in this restaraunt. We ate upstairs in the Sidecar. We had an assortment of appetizers, all of which were very good. My salmon was excellent, but my husband was not as happy with his skirt steak. It was over cooked for his taste. The manager did offer to make him a new steak.... More

We have our lunch here. Many people gathered at lunch time so that we had to wait about 20 minutes to have our seats. But it is worth to wait, sicne we could feel 'this is NYC'. We had 'The Cadillac', a hamburger. It was rather smaller than we expected, but taste of meat was superior. Should taste it.

Bustling restaurant full of New York atmosphere and attitude. Bar up front serving martinis and shellfish to the midtown crowd and then steak and burgers in the restaurant. Fantastic service. Worth seeking out.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
