Crab cake safed my live!

Out of the Met Opera, almost 1 am, starving, PJ Clark's to the rescue! Great food, very nice place, service wasn't so great but good enough, and not pricy. Try the crab cake, is delicious!

This was the first time for us in this restaraunt. We ate upstairs in the Sidecar. We had an assortment of appetizers, all of which were very good. My salmon was excellent, but my husband was not as happy with his skirt steak. It was over cooked for his taste. The manager did offer to make him a new steak.... More

We have our lunch here. Many people gathered at lunch time so that we had to wait about 20 minutes to have our seats. But it is worth to wait, sicne we could feel 'this is NYC'. We had 'The Cadillac', a hamburger. It was rather smaller than we expected, but taste of meat was superior. Should taste it.

Bustling restaurant full of New York atmosphere and attitude. Bar up front serving martinis and shellfish to the midtown crowd and then steak and burgers in the restaurant. Fantastic service. Worth seeking out.

Absolutely loved this place... It didn't seem as though it was for tourists more a neighborhood friendly bar. Warm welcome when we opened the door..Oyster bar on the right, long bar on the left. Waiters in long aprons...beers n wines chalked up on blackboards behind the bar. Locals popping in, sitting at the bar quick word with the barman..a plate... More

The building is a reminder of times past. The drinks, the food, the service is top notch. Had the chicken pot pie and a Bloody Mary for Sunday brunch. We will return on our next visit.

Started my Oldest Bars of NYC Pub Crawl at PJ Clarkes on 3rd. LOVE this place! The history is cool, the bar tenders and wait staff are awesome! The food is outstanding for lunch. I have been to the other PJ Clarkes by Lincoln Center - it is not the same feel as this location.

Stopped in after attending Opera on March 28, 2015. We were seated fairly easily but it took some time to get a wait person to visit our table. Once we got the waiter he was really attentive. We ordered a bottle of Bordeaux for $42. (Knew the price was too good to be true) It was awful! Looked it up... More

If you have two hours in NYC- if you want lunch and/or a drink, this is where you want to go. History pouring out of every square inch, great bar and even better bartenders- ours was George. Classic New Yorker. Food is absolutely off the hook- raw bar right at the front door . Lobster roll is best south of... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
