Went to PJ's on recommendation of concierge from our hotel. We arrived in the city late so limited dining choices. They did not disappoint. We had tomato soup, Parmesan tater tots and sliders. Our waitress was delightful. Has worked there many, many years, great gal to converse with. Pub food and good eats.

Found on Trip Advisor and was close to hotel; had just checked in and we were HUNGRY! 2pm on a Friday and the place was PACKED. Service a little slow, but we were visiting and didn't really care. Four women, we shared the fish tacos, lobster mac & cheese and 2 burgers, and beer all around. Food was all excellent,... More

I think that if you are spending a few days in Manhattan, you should totally go there and enjoy their amazing hamburguers. Maybe is not as cheap as other restaurants, but the hamburguers are the best in town! You should totally eat desserts, they are AMAZING!

I go to PJ's everytime I'm in New York. Remarkable, idiosyncratic New York bar/diner, with a classic New York bar tender, oyster bar in the corner, stained glass saloon style urinal, and great food. Not to be missed.

I've been having a hamburger and chili since 1959 and have indoctrinated our children and grandchildren. We're all PJ Clarke's fans. Now there's no more chili (except on Sunday) and the hamburger comes without the trademarked slice of onion........maybe the new owners are trying to save money. As for the menu, it's starting to look like a 1950's coffee shop........ridiculous.... More

First let me start by saying this must have been an aberration, since PJ Clarke's has always been known for the wonderful hamburgers. Not TODAY!!!!!!!! A friend of mine and I decided to stop by the 3rd avenue and 63rd street restaurant to enjoy a great hamburger and a nice draft beer. Simple fare, two cheesesburgers, one turkey and one... More

It is a great now traditional NY place where you can enjoy the ambience and a few bottles of beer. A decent selection of wines (some Europeans are expensive). Not the most refined nor a very modern cuisine but their formula works very well and has been there for years; you cannot leave without at least trying one of those... More

I'm sure you would have a great breakfast, lunch or dinner here, but we came in late, after the theatre and just had burgers and fries, but the service, presentation, taste was all good.dont miss it.

What a great find this was, read about it in a novel. Walking in looks like you are back in the early 20th century, dark walls , dark floors, menus on the wall. great food, outstanding service, sorry it took me until my 4th NYC trip to find it. Will be a repeat on every future trip
