Went on a Tuesday night in Dec. fairly late. Four of us - all different ages and each had incredibly good choices. Bruschetta w wild mushroom conserva, brussel sprout salad, wild mussels, risotto (apple), such good roasted chicken, best gnocchi we have ever had, swordfish, sauteed greens. Great service. Asked for a full red wine and he brought us a... More

I went to Barbuto on a random Tuesday in November. The space is really cool, and the vibe is relaxed. I went with my boyfriend and we shared mostly everything. We got the calamari salad to start. The greens were very fresh and it was a.) cooked perfectly b.) tasted light with a nice fresh tasting citrus-esque sauce. It was... More

went to Barbuto on Friday the day after Thanksgiving. Booked well in advance and we sat at 530 ish. Filled rapidly. Service from the time we entered until when we left was excellent. We were looked after like a boss. Ordered insalata di lattuga, di cavolini and giardini verde to start. We decided to do family style so the food... More

We had a really excellent meal at Barbuto. We were very pleased and surprised to successfully "walk in" on the early side. Without attitude or pause we were taken to a great table. Our serve was genuine (rare these days) and paid excellent attention to us and our food. I cannot say enough superlatives of the food itself. Wonderful preparation... More

We did the Chef's table for a group of 8, and it was excellent. The roasted chicken is a signature dish, but the beef and swordfish entrees were also superior. Give the chef your preferences and let him work his magic.

Excellent Italian food with an American highly recognized chef taste. The chicken is to die for, the gnocchi are incredible, the chocolate pudding is the best in NYC. Only stay away from the risotto and get ready: the hostesses are very rude.

I had the Pollo Al Forno, which is Roasted Chicken & Salsa Verde. This dish was excellent and was featured in an episode of Food Network's Best I Ever Ate by Tyler Florence. I also had the Patate, which is Roasted Potatoes, Pecorino(Italian Cheese), & Rosemary. And I ordered Broccolo, which is Broccoli, Currants, & Colatura(Anchovy Sauce). The potatoes were... More

We stumbled across this place on a Saturday lunchtime and it was buzzing with hardly a table free. It would be unfair to talk about the menu as we sat at the bar and had a sharing plate of bread/hummus and meats, though these were delicious washed down with a couple of glasses of red. Will go back one day.

Barbuto is what I think of when I think of eating in NYC. Great ambience, great service, and excellent food and drinks. The bruschetta with duck liver pate is the best I've had in a long time. The gnocchi was perfectly cooked and sauced. I highly recommend Barbuto, but make sure to get reservations!

Close to the highline in a quiet street, it's always difficult to find a table. Last time I was there on monday night and I had 20min waiting before get seated. Never tried the brunch (yet) but let's talk about the dinner: bruxelles sprout salad with almonds and pecorino was superb, as well as the risotto (believe me: I'm italian!).... More
