I've come here on several occasions and was never dissapointed with the great food. Excellent choice of wine by the glass.

We split the cheese plate and I had the delicious chicken! Great atmosphere, reasonable prices, and everything was deliciously prepared. We also sat next to James Franco and near 24 star Cherry Jones-- celeb tested, normal citizen approved! :)

Great atmosphere. When it's nice outside, the restaurant is open (garage like doors slide up). Food is delicious - the chicken dish especially and their gnocchi is great.

A northern Italian menu and wine selection in a marvelous setting in the West Village. Great people watching, particularly if you snag sidewalk seating. Reasonable pricing for the wines and delicious pasta and salads. if you plan to engage in conversation, be prepared to shout, as the din is overwhelming.

Had lunch here on 7/12. The signature chicken dish was extremely good. It was very flavorful, skin was crispy (for the most part) and meat was very juicy. The roast potatoes we good, but I wouldn't get them again. They felt more like deep fried rather than what I am used to as roasted. Had a glass of their Pinot... More

All of my New York trips end with dinner at Barbuto. You must must try the crispy potatoe wedges, pollo al forno, barbabietolae (roasted beet salad), fettuce con navone, and the list goes on and on. If you haven't tried Jonathan Waxman's "Barbuto", you owe it to yourself to make a visit. Drinks are spectacular.

I've tried Barbuto because I was working at the nearby studios and the name was on the agenda. I've been negatively surprised by the excess of experiments on the Italian proposals. It could find a wide appreciation , but I'm more a purist

We had a wonderful meal of chicken and seafood risotto here and would highly recommend both dishes. We ate early (7pm) but the place was packed when we arrived and when we left. There is a great vibe to the place but it is loud, difficult for conversation. The chef's table in the kitchen looked amazing and worth a night... More

Another great dining experience in NYC. We went as a family outing, as we do every time we are in NYC. Four Adults and two children aged 8 & 6. We opted for the family dining plan where they bring out a seemingly unending variety of appetizers, pasta dishes, meat dishes and vegetables. It is a set price, and they... More

I had dinner here with my wife and daughter. Jonathon Waxman has created a very approachable, yet elegant dining experience. I had the hangar steak, which was one of the best I have ever had. My wife had the gnocchi, which she truly enjoyed. The dinner was not cheap, but the food was excellent and the portions large. My daughter... More
