Afternoon Tea

This is a wonderful place to take your child if they are interested in having tea. The atmosphere is whimsical and caters to kids. The selections are great and the service as well.

This café is really cute with it's afternoon tea theme. I had coffee instead of tea and it came in a HUGE mug and was pretty good. The sandwiches, scones and cakes provided were all delicious, and there was SO MUCH of it! The scones in particular were spectacular. If I lived in New York I would go all the... More

Went here with my mother, sister in law and 4 year old daughter. We arrived for a late lunch at 2:30 on a Monday and was surprised to have to wait 30 min but it was worth it. My daughter really enjoyed it and so did the rest of us!

We were delighted to learn about this charming Upper West Side restaurant, and better to actually visit it. It has a charming atmosphere one does not usually associate with NYC eateries. Known for its vast tea selection. Adults & children alike will feast on delicious scones, sandwiches, cookies and lots more. Will take reservations for 6 or more.

Called in for breakfast. Very ambivalent, unsmiling host who made it seem like too much trouble to show us a table in the virtually empty restaurant. We were in a hurry as we had a booked ferry to catch so told our waitress. We ordered granola and she helpfully pointed out quick egg options to my daughter which ordered. Coffee... More

I have been to Alice's Tea Cup many times over the last few years. The first time it was new and fresh and fun. Cute decor, large selection of teas, mismatched china and adorable tea pots. Little girls in fairy wings. On the surface, very sweet. We were lucky the first time and got seated right away. I was fooled... More

For a restaurant that is geared towards young girls, lots of adults come to this spot too. The decor is just like Lewis Carroll depicted in his novels. The tea is good, a huge selection. I suggest getting the hot food sandwiches rather than the cold sandwiches. The scones are delicious. This is one of my favorite places in Manhattan.

I am sold on the service. Being a coffee drinker I was very hesitant in visiting this establishment, but my nieces planned our weekend getaway and had tea on the list. Indian Chai was fantastic, ask for warm milk. The buttermilk and pumpkin scones were delicious with the spreads. Coffee and tea places are plentiful in NYC, but Matt and... More

Nice place for tea. They have two other places & I have been to all. The scones & desserts are very good. I wish they had "real" clotted cream. The sandwiches are ok. The servers are pleasant. The west side one needs a bit sprucing up. It is fair priced.

I absolutely love brunch food, and was curious to try this tea place which my friend has chosen, for brunch. We had a party of 5 and arrived a bit before 10am on a Saturday. We were lucky that a table was just finishing, so the wait was relatively short - lucky me since I had a flight to catch... More
