Just like the book

For a restaurant that is geared towards young girls, lots of adults come to this spot too. The decor is just like Lewis Carroll depicted in his novels. The tea is good, a huge selection. I am sold on the service. Being a coffee drinker I was very hesitant in visiting this establishment, but my nieces planned our weekend getaway and had tea on the list. Indian Chai was fantastic, ask for warm milk. The buttermilk and pumpkin scones were delicious with the spreads. Coffee and tea places are plentiful in NYC, but Matt and... More

Nice place for tea. They have two other places & I have been to all. The scones & desserts are very good. I wish they had "real" clotted cream. The sandwiches are ok. The servers are pleasant. The west side one needs a bit sprucing up. It is fair priced.

I absolutely love brunch food, and was curious to try this tea place which my friend has chosen, for brunch. We had a party of 5 and arrived a bit before 10am on a Saturday. We were lucky that a table was just finishing, so the wait was relatively short - lucky me since I had a flight to catch... More

Looking for a spot of tea we journeyed to this quaint tea house for breakfast. We were not disappointed. Breakfast was pleasing for all and the varieties of tea were very well received.

I really can't understand why it has taken me so long to visit a place like this! I was absolutely smitten by the cute, quaint feel of this place. The food was terrific and the service was great! Let's just talk about the teas....Holy teas! There were so many to choose from and oh vey it was great! New York... More

Place is quaint; very popular, and quite crowded. Scones are excellent, tea sandwiches are just fair.

What a great place...neighborhood restaurant with an extensive tea list (naturally!) interesting menu for breakfast and very friendly, pleasant service. I tried the Mt. Everest Tea-- marvelous flavor -- and the un-hash (I think) breakfast..poached eggs, chicken bangers and potatoes. It's a very cozy place, totally unpretentious and absolutely comfortable...we were served promptly, after pondering the tea and entree menus... More

We visit every time we're in NYC. Since we're not coffee drinkers we love places like this. So many nice tea options. What do we end up ordering? English Breakfast. Each and every time. Lots of great items on the menu, but the scones are what we stick to. Berries and buttermilk. Yum!
