Hit the Spot

We came here for a late lunch on a Wednesday and were overly hungry. We were seated upstairs immediately. We ordered a caesar salad and pepperoni pizza. Both were really good! The caesar had big chunks of parmesan, which I loved. Pizza was done just right with the right amount of toppings.

Angelo's is simply a comfortable, consistently wonderful pizza restaurant in the heart of midtown. We've eaten there on past trips and returned for a quick easy meal of salad and pizza on our first night in the city this trip. It's comfort food. The more peak the time, the longer the line.

We had lunch at Angelos when we first arrived in New York on Thursday 8/13. We were staying just near at the Parker Meridien hotel. It was a nice clean place with good pizza and salads at a reasonable price. We liked it so much we went back on Sunday fro lunch before we headed to La Guardia to head... More

My husband and I stopped in with our ten year old son for an early dinner. The pizza was great and service was wonderful as well.

Good place before or after the theater. Pizza is what they are known for and it is quite good. Add a salad and a glass of wine and you have nice, reasonably priced meal.

This place was right across the street from our hotel and we kept planning to go there. We ate there on our last night and we loved it. The pizza was very good and the salads were great too. Nothing too remarkable about the service, although there was nothing wrong with it. Would definitely recommend it to all...

Went here years ago and on our return visit nothing has changed. Great for a first night, jet lagged family dinner. Nothing fancy, just large good pizza with friendly staff and packed to the rafters. We enjoyed a glass of medium priced wine and a house salad too. Great for kids.

Why simple and efficient? It was simple because I was waiting for that and I had no expectation to be a fancy one. Nevertheless the place is cozy and the service was very nice. It was efficient because my family and I were starving and the food was very good and everybody was happy at the end. Looking for a... More

1 large pizza and a salad will seriously feed 3 people! Seems a bit pricey at first but the portions are really large and really tasty. Very fresh and great range of toppings. Pasta dishes quite large too! Lovely!

This pizza is what you would expect in a great New York pizza. Nicely charred crust, great toppings, good sauce and good mozzarella cheese. Nice that it is not too far from Times Square and right along southern part of Central Park. No need to go to Little Italy for great pizza.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
