Great pizza, great service

This restaurant was located right next to our hotel and I expected an average meal but I was wrong - the pizza was perfectly cooked with lots of flavor and the service was great. This place was suggested by the concierge at out hotel. The food was ok, we wanted an authentic NY style pizza and were not all that impressed. We did really love the meatballs in the spaghetti and meatballs dinner. I tried to order a martini and they were all out of Gin (I mean not any type of Gin at... More

To start, I am not a pizza fan, but staying in NYC I had to try. I searched through the reviews and found Angelo's. I was truly impressed. I left the decision on the ingredients up to the waitress. I have to say, it was one of the best meals I have ever had. Not only were the toppings fabulous,... More

Excellent location, nice interior, great menu. We ordered a pizza. With coal ovens why would you not? The pizza was excellent but the choice of toppings was very limited. Wait staff was OK. The guys making the pizzas were working hard. I appreciated their work ethic. If only the waitresses were as on the ball. Small bar with a number... More

This restaurant was next to our hotel & was recommended. The supposedly homemade lasagna was inedible it was so dry. You could taste the flour in the bechamel sauce. The chicken pasta dish was cooked too much. Looking at other diners pizzas they didn't look appetizing either.

We loved Angelo's. Yes, the restaurant hosts tourists, with a prime location next Ed Sullivan Theater. However, During my 1st visit to NYC with grand children & their parents, our party of six walked in on a Sunday evening in mid-December- no fuss, no issues @ all, and we had a terrific experience. A great table @ the top of... More

Thought this may be a tourist trap sort of place. However I was pleasantly surprised and would like to say this was one of the best pizza I have ever had.

We ate here before going to Carnegie Hall for a show. It is conveniemtly located diagonally across the street. This is not a place with a lot of ambiance. It has good red sauce Italian food and quick service. The place is a well oiled machine and food comes out piping hot. We had a delicious beet salad and a... More

During our stay in New York, we tried loads of restaurants, for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I have to say this place was by far the most ordinary of them all. Service was OK, food average. We ate here because it was the nearest place to eat on a very cold February evening. We did not try the pizzas, which... More

We had a white pie that was very good. The crust was rally good. Cooked in a brick oven. Service was good and it was fast. The price was very reasonable. We were there around lunch time and they were busy. We couldn't eat all of it so of course we took to back to our hotel for later. They... More

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
