Had brunch here on a Sunday. Everything was very tasty and reasonable. The blueberry pancakes were light and fluffy. They needed more blueberries though. The homemade granola was very good as was the eggs Florentine.

Had the "famous Barking Dog" burger. It was okay nothing special. It is a burger on focaccia bread. Nothing special with the way the burger was prepared. Service was okay, not incredibly friendly or helpful but nice.

Food it ok. Breakfast is pretty traditional, nothing special, and wasn't seasons very well, but they allow me to take my dog and sit with him which I value.

I love this place! I eat here almost every time I am in town. Good traditional breakfast offerings as well as fresh salads, burgers and sandwiches. The booths and decor were recently refreshed so it's even nicer now. There's an alcove in back with a table that would be fun for a group of 6-9. In nice weather, there are... More

Tried the mac&cheese, quite boring. Creamy but not a cheesy taste to it. Tortollini was much better but a small portion. Friendly staff!

They have really good food but there are just too many kids with over indulgent parents especially on the weekends. The noise level and the whine level is high but the food is really top notch and the prices are okay for the location. Probably better to order in form there on weekends. Have eaten there at tother times and... More

Whenever I come to the UES (usually a week long visit) I end up here at least 2 times. Great breakfast, good mimosas, and a nice selection for lunch or dinner. Outside seating is great for people watching but can get noisy if you're on the 3rd Ave side, so ask for seats on the 94th street side.

We stumbled upon this walking on the UES on a Sunday after visiting Central Park. It was getting packed and the dog theme convinced us to give this diner a try. We had our steak and eggs, and a salad. All were hearty and excellent ! Evidently a very popular place with the locals. Note: no wifi!

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
