On all my visits, I always seek the owner of this comfy bistro on the Upper East Side. The French wines are an amazingly good value and I always ask him to choose one to complement our meal. Five of us went for dinner. Two steaks, one mahi-mahi, and two pork milanese. All were wonderfully prepared. Desserts and apps were also exquisite. Our waiter Kenny was top notch. more

My husband wanted a steak dinner and this place had been recommended. We had a reservation but wouldn't have needed one. For appetizer he had french onion soup and I had corn chowder. Both the food and the service were good at Le Steak. They pack you in like sardines. The restaurant is small and narrow. You can't talk about anything remotely private there. You are seated two inches from people (on both sides). Go there if you want the true Upper East Side locals-experience. more
