The Best place for Italian Food

From the moment you walk in the door you know it is going to be a great night, there are a few Carmines in the USA, though this one is the original and the vibe, atmosphere and hectic activity makes the whole experience worthwhile. Ideally you need a reservation, however if you are a ‘walk in’ it... read more

Our party consisted of three couples having dinner at Carmine's. There is a dinner special for each night of the week. Tuesday's special is lamb chops and you ought never miss the chance to have them. The special for Saturday night was the Prime Rib Chop. I ordered it rare to medium rare. It arrived medium. I brought to the... More

Even if the food was poor I might till go here to just to soak up the room & it's decor & history. One senses the countless theatre goers from over the decades coming in here

My wife and I spent Memorial Day weekend in New York City singing at Lincoln Center and had some time to eat at Carmine's. The food and service were outstanding. We went for lunch and were seated right away and ordered chicken parmigiana with angel hair pasta. Both chicken and pasta were done perfectly.

I have eaten at this location over the years and on rare occasion they disappoint. We had a party of 11 that turned into 15, they were accommodating, helpful, and just overall the symbol of great customer service. Not to mention, the food was great and the cosmopolitans even greater. They may have changed chefs since my last visit for... More

Just stunning place. Food was divine. Can't believe we managed to get a table. Visited with family so our first taste of thanksgiving. The sweet potato mash was to die for, lovely Turkey, gorgeous veg with nuts, and the yummiest pumpkin pie. Read ace reviews about this place and can't recommend highly enough after visiting. Can't wait to go back... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
