Carmine's is a family style restaurant offering exceptional value to its guests through the many dishes of Southern Italian cuisine. The Carmine's concept is to bring its guests a "wow-factor" sized portions and making any meal feel like an Italian American wedding feast. Platters of homestyle antipasto, pasta, decadent seafood or meat entrees, and of course homemade desserts are all staples at Carmine's, meant for sharing amongst friends and family. When great food and wine are supported by friendly and knowledgeable service, the results are magic - we want every day to feel like a Sunday afternoon at Grandma's.

Family Favorite - The go to place when in the area

Its busy, the portions are huge, the prices are too, but everyone seems to be happy there every time! Guess that's what its all about. People seem to always say they want to try exotic foods but they always come back here. Can't lose. Plan ahead to make sure you will have a table.

the staff explained to us that whatever we order is good enough for two or more and wow what we got was massive and i would say four people could have finished it only and we were only two . The food was good but the cocktails just average. good place to chill out but you have to be really... More

I am here visiting NYC from Virginia. We ate here tonight because we were told we just had to try it. It was decent but nothing special. In comparison, I actually like the chain restaurant Maggionos much better. It didn't help that they told us the wait would be 10 minutes and it ended up being 45. Don't mind the... More

I took my daughter in law and two granddaughters here for lunch prior to going to see the Broadway hit Matilda, which was showing across the street. We did not have reservations but arrived early (1130) and were given a table upstairs. If you don't know, and we didn't, it is family style which means at least two people at... More

I went here last week for lunch with my pal. We sat at the bar on a scorching afternoon and supped a lovely pint of Brooklyn Summer Ale. There's plenty of seating upstairs, the food is plenty and tastes great. Service is excellent - spaghetti meatballs is highly recommended. Enjoy Mark R

Carmines was recommended by friends who had visited on their honeymoon and they were not wrong when they said the portion servings were massive. On this visit there were 5 of us. There was an extensive food and beverage menu. Bread was delivered to our table and all the condiments were on the table. We ordered a lasagne and a... More

The lasagna was delicious and big enough to satisfy us, we were two people, it is not a secret that each meal was though to share with the family, but we could confirm by ourselves, due to the excellent service and in this case we left the highest percentage for tip, I disagree to give tip everywhere, some people don't... We had to make a reservation 3 weeks ahead of time on Open Table to get a table at 8pm. Yet when we arrived, there were plenty of open tables, so it appears that Carmine's does not put all their tables on OpenTable. For the hype this place received and the wait the last time we visited, the food is... More

I've had Italian food from all over the world, and Carmine's is some of THE BEST! The midtown restaurant is always busy, so make a reservation if you can. We were advised by the staff to reserve a table at least a month ahead, so you can be assured of table at the exact time and size you want/need. There... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
