Carmine's is a family style restaurant offering exceptional value to its guests through the many dishes of Southern Italian cuisine. The Carmine's concept is to bring its guests a "wow-factor" sized portions and making any meal feel like an Italian American wedding feast. Platters of homestyle antipasto, pasta, decadent seafood or meat entrees, and of course homemade desserts are all staples at Carmine's, meant for sharing amongst friends and family. When great food and wine are supported by friendly and knowledgeable service, the results are magic - we want every day to feel like a Sunday afternoon at Grandma's.

Apprehensive at first...

I admit, I was apprehensive at first to eat in Times Square. But after hearing the locals say that it truly was the best Italian food in manhattan, I had to try. They were right. Food was excellent. Best pesto sauce I've ever had.

Being from a very Italian area of NYS, I was expecting a lot. I was disappointed with the food. The cold antipasto was very sparse - and for $30 we expected a nice spread - no prosciutto - a few small pieces of cheese w/ salami & 2 pieces of Mortadella - the main items were marinated mushrooms, along with... Solid if unexceptional Italian restaurant in midtown, convenient to Times Square and Broadway shows. The food is fine if you're in the neighborhood and want a convenient place to eat. Note that the portions are quite large; it is a good restaurant for larger groups who don't mind sharing.

Very delicious food and great service with large portions of food! This is my second year of going to Carmines when I go into the city every year to see a show and both times was an absolute pleasure.

The bar was loud and fun. The food was delicious, and served family style. We had chicken parm, sauteed broccoli, and a pasta dish. Everything was delicious.

I like the setting with the big bar and levels and the atmosphere. We had dinner at 20:00 so most theatre goers had left but the place was still busy. I appreciate the good selection of salads, pastas and other italian fare. The portions are big so its good to share. For 3 men we shared one Carmine's salad and... More

This was one of those places I felt I HAD to experience at least once in my life and I'm so glad I did. The atmosphere is just like the Italian restaurant my late aunt owned. The service was excellent and the food was fantastic. Make sure you and your group can agree on a meal though, or you will... More

This Can be either the best or the worst experience u cab have. The best: you are looking for amazing italian generous food and you are in a group of at least 4 people with time to spare. The worst: you are in a couple, looking for some cosy atmosphere, perfect service with no waiting. Know what side you are... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
