Nice place, buzzing atmosphere, friendly staff. We ordered meatballs and a salad. The salad was good- the meatballs lacking seasoning - bland. You can only order large dishes (feeds about five people). You can't order for two- therefore you'll waste large amounts of food. The amount of food being wasted by us and the tables around us is such a shame.... More

After or before a Broadway show in Time's Square, Carmines is a great place to stop! Because it's rather a large restaurant the wait wasn't long & the food is plentiful & delicious. We ate before a matinee and ordered the single luncheon portion which was more than enough for the two of us! We ordered sausage & broccoli pasta... More

We went to Carmine's two nights in a row. Should have stopped after the 1st visit. We went in on a Sunday night after seeing Rock of Ages which was a few doors away. We had a brief wait in the bar which was fun and entertaining. We were shown a table towards the front of the restaurant and were... More

Looking for a restaurant close to Times Square, without any expectations, we found this restaurant thanks to Tripadvisor. We expected a "tourist trap" typical for this type of location. We were surprised by this classic rsataurant. Reasonable priced, good food in a nice and comfortable roomy place. Bevare! the servings are enormous; one portion is good for two, or even... More

Carmine's is consistently good solid delicious Italian.. Although lots of tourists come to eat here, it never falls to the "just feed em" mentality.. This is really great NY Italian food.. fine dining? no... but this is family style really really good food. The salads were great, plentiful and crisp. the rigatoni pasta is cooked perfectly complimented by a delicious... More

what can i say...the food is always good at Carmine's. Every time my wife and I visit NYC, we make it a point to go to Carmine's. The only downside is the waiting for a table.

As the title suggests, don't come here if you are dieting. All the food comes family style and it would be best bring a hungry family here. Unfortunately, it was just my wife and I but we enjoyed the Chicken Parmesan with a side of spaghetti with our wine. But we're envious of the bigger parties ordering several platters of... More

it was one of the very few that would take a reservation on Sat night for 7. Food is consistent but noisy so conversations weren't easy. Good service. A bit chaotic but what we expected.

So happy we stepped into Carmine's. Family style dining, which means your platter of food is large enough to feed the family and THAT it did. We had three people in our party and ordered spaghetti with meatballs. We ate until stuffed and had plenty left for another person! The bowl of different breads (rolls, focaccia, bread etc) was yummy... More
