Brilliant food, great atmosphere ... a little tight

On the pluses: 1) Absolutely brilliant brunch food - waffles, pancakes, eggs etc.... off the charts 2) Great atmosphere with attentive staff, and fast service times 3) Real cosy feel to the place On the negatives: 1) We were lucky that we didn't have to wait long, but apparently one often... read more

If you enjoy breakfast food like me, you should definitely not miss Clinton St. Baking Co! This was my third time at this restaurant, and I always try to make an effort to visit whenever I'm in NYC. I love a good breakfast and this restaurant does your breakfast food right! I went on a Friday a bit before 2pm... More

After finding this little gem on Trip Advisor we got to Clintons about 30 mins after it opened. There was a 45 minute wait however it was a Saturday. To avoid disappointment or a wait book your table. ITS WORTH IT!They text you when your table is ready. Once seated I couldn't choose from all the scrumptious brunch meals. I... More

There is s no reservation policy so it really is a case of pot luck. We went on a Friday (assuming that weekends would be even busier) and the place was heaving with people. Fortunately a 2 top was available but there were people waiting for bigger tables already. This is an excellent choice for breakfast/brunch if exploring the Lower... More

Had a great old school breakfast at Clinton Street-- try the Southern Breakfast and the blueberry pancakes! The service was good, and the food was better. To avoid a long wait, show up a little before they open at 9. Definitely worth a try!

We set off early from West Village to experience this popular bakery famous for its pancakes& we were not disappointed, Portions are generous and service is efficient. One of our party had egg special with Artichokes which missed the mark but overall it was an enjoyable breakfast.

Wonderful food, they do have great burgers, and pancakes! it's too crowded and has become like a cult restaurant, a bit annoying on Sunday, impossible to get in there-- but I do recommend the food

We chose this place based on reviews and we are happy we did. We ordered the Truffle Fried Eggs, Huevos Rancheros, & the famous blueberry pancakes. Everything was delicious-- my only critique would be less truffle oil on the truffle fried eggs, my plate was full of oil afterwards. BEWARE--cash only--ATM across the street!

We arrived in the middle of a downpour and were greeted by a cosy, candle-lit café. The staff were very friendly and promptly brought us warm biscuits with butter and water. Between us we had pancakes, french toast and huevos rancheros, all of which were delicious. The portions were generous and we left feeling well-fed and very happy.

Very yummy breakfast. It was totally worth the wait outside to have hot and fresh pancakes. They are the best in the city for an early breakfast.

Staying in Lower East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Lower East Side
Straddling the bridge between New York’s thriving immigrant past and its modern transformation into a beacon of global art and culture, the Lower East Side is one of the most dynamic neighborhoods in the city. The blocks of tenements that represented the promise and blight of the Lower East Side immigrant experience now command top dollar for new residents. Right next to old-world delis, 24-hour bodegas, and the garment shops of Orchard Street, you’ll find hip clubs, fashionable bistros, and luxury hotels beckoning at all hours of the evening. If you love nightlife and live music, it’s hard to beat the scene here.
