Satisfyingly guilty food

A traditional American diner like those in Hollywood movies, we walked by and saw many locals eating in there so gave it a try, we don't normally eat junk food but we wanted to experience an America diner. Our hotel staff recommended Cozy's to us when we checked in as this restaurant is where the hotel staff eats. Their recommendation was excellent. Our family had 3 different sandwiches and the food was delicious and very reasonable. You order at the register, the food and soup are made fresh and delivered to your table. Very relaxing and we were... More

We stopped in for a small bite here prior to seeing a show up the road. I had a pastrami sandwich while the rest of the clan had some potato skins and mozza sticks. The food was ok, but nothing that stood out. The staff could use a course on learning how to smile. Our waiter was attentive enough but... More

A great NY Diner-which is open 24 hours a day. Service was great, and food was lovely. We visited here for lunch on a Sunday. Lots of choice, and the menu can seem a little over whelming, however we were both very happy with our choices. The cheesecake was lovely and home made.

It's not easy to give a 5/5 to a restaurant, but this is the case. Non-turistic place, typical and relaxing: it's an american diner, with one of the best staff you could ever come into and such great burgers you'll need more. I have been here two times: in 2011 and in 2014, when I remembered that this place was... More

Just okay. Hostess wasn't too thrilled to see anyone come in... But menu is very large so you have lots of options. Food was okay. Wasn't great but wasn't bad. For being a Diner the prices were a bit high. But then again it's NYC and everything seems too high. I wouldn't come back.

Had to find a quick bite before going to a show nearby. Dropped in at the Cozy. The service was a bit so so, the waiter did not appear to be very happy with his job. But then again the food was OK, I had a good onion soup and a wrap which was nice as well. Portion size more... More

A miserable rainy afternoon in NYC found us in this place, in the absence of anything we could see in the immediate vicinity. The waiter was a brusque older man who didn't pass any pleasantries whatsoever. The spinach pie took some ploughing through and my husband had French onion soup, scrambled eggs, bacon and fries. Nothing at all spectacular. Poor... More

Stopped in for a quick lunch durning a visit to the Village area. The sign says since 1972and the decor reflects just that. A huge selection of burgers which were generous & hand pressed. They have old style hand mixed milk shakes which went perfectly with the burgers. Prices were decent. Would revisit if in the area.

On vacation, I like to have a leisurely breakfast with my coffee refilled without asking. Cozy is perfect!! Had breakfast there 3 times recently and enjoyed it each time. To me its classic with the interior and waiters prob the same as when it opened in 1972. Obviously a family affair with the "Mom" on the cash register and "Pop"... More

Staying in Greenwich Village

Neighborhood Profile
Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighborhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess. Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighborhood an old-school residential feel. When the sun goes down, check out one of the famous jazz or comedy clubs that still packs them in every night.
