Great for students or budget travelers. For a family of 6, each could find something on the menu, the matzo ball soup is excellent. its also open 24h, great if you are looking for a bite in the middle of a New York night.

Popped in whilst out shopping. Had the chilli which was very rich and so only a small portion could be eaten. Was so excited to try cheesecake in New York and ordered for afters. The strawberry cheesecake came in a large portion and although dearer than the plain cheesecake it only had a strawberry sauce and strawberry on top. There... More

I went alone for lunch on a weekday and sat on a stool at the counter. (Small groups were being advised that they'd have to wait for a table, but it wasn't a long line.) I ordered the Five-Alarm Burger with jack cheese and jalapenos, and it came out fairly quickly, was a generous portion with sides, and everything prepared... More

Came to eat here on my partner's 50th birthday; we just wanted a good diner and simple food on a visit to New York. Menu was great and huge, and prices were good too. Bonus beers on tap which was nice. I ordered a reuben, and my partner ordered chicken schnitzel, both really good and plentiful. Asked for cheese sauce... More

No better way to put it: this is a place to stuff yourself with gigantic pancakes, onion rings, huge salads... and I never even tried a burger. It is not cheap, nothing in NY is, but it is a proper american dinner.

Have eaten some version of bacon and eggs here on a few different visits to NYC and enjoyed my food a lot every time. Service is really pro and efficient, food is plentiful and inexpensive, and I love the classic look of the place.

We had not read these reviews before going here, just turned up after a walk around NYU and Washington Square. It was busy so one would expect it would be good. The food was ok but the service was woeful. For example we asked for extra coffee and were just ignored. But the worst was yet to come. Our bill... More

This is one of the great diners of Manhattan. They have a huge menu. Not everything is healthful, but it wouldn't be a diner if you couldn't get a shake and fries. There are, however, heathy choices. I don't think they use anti-biotic and hormone-free meats and eggs, which I prefer, but the quality is quite decent. I frequently come... More

Being lactose, dairy, gluten & wheat intolerant it's very hard to find anywhere decent to eat in New York. Cozys hit the spot, fantastic food, fantastic service, fantastic prices. Would recommend it

We were looking for a place to grab a "quick" bite instead of an expensive coffee and muffin from the local coffee shop and we didn't want to get a bag of chips and a soda from the nearby drugstore, so when we saw this place, it looked inviting and it was a good choice. We had about 35 minutes... More
