This is the perfect old school steakhouse. Must visit on trip to NYC. And be sure to check out the Roseland Theatre across the street.

We had wanted to eat here on so many other trips to Vegas but always seemed to run out of time. We were finally able to eat here and we were not disappointed. We shared a strip steak, creamed spinach, broccoli, and lyonnaise potatoes. Everything tasted wonderful was nicely presented. Our waiter must of been on break during our meal... More

We ate here on our last night in NYC - definitely saved the best until last! The service was good, constantly having drinks topped up, table was kept clean and everything explained clearly. We ordered the filet steak, it was cooked perfectly (medium/rare), with mash potato and green beans. Couldn't have asked for a better meal! Personally, I think the... More

Just had lunch at the bar last week, first time back since they renovated. The appearance still has an old Steakhouse feel, but cleaned up a whole lot. Lost that tired feel it had before renovation. Had a great Lobster Bisque and steak salad. New menu looks great, dining areas improved, and open kitchen in back. A real good option... More

We stayed at the Novotel 226 West 52nd street right on Time Square, first time back after a ten year break. Gallagher's Steak House is right next door to the hotel, I was also looking forward to going back to Gallagher's after such a long time. The restaurant has recently undergone major renovation, and it looks really great! The service... More

Best steakhouse in NYC - which makes it I guess on of the best anywhere. Steak was, of course, supreme but the staff were excellent. Service superb - fantastic night. Will be back.

We used to eat here quite a bit and always enjoyed it. The new owner closed it for a complete renovation, top to bottom. They did a great job, it still has the ambiance of a steak house. The bread basket came to the table right away with a few assorted breads and salted sweet butter. The crab cakes were... More

I had steak (Duh!) It was tremendous. I am a real carnivore and this Ribeye was exquisite. We had an hors d'oeurve with charcoaled peppers and Burrata...something new for us..delicious. The side dishes are enormous portions...enough for 3 maybe. Great cheesecake, too. Our server,Steve, enhanced the whole experience along with his assistant ( sorry, didn't catch his name). Just the right amount... More

We popped in for cocktails before going to the August Wilson theatre, and loved the place so much we returned for food and drinks after the show. As we came back fairly late on, they were clearing tables but were happy to serve us. All of the waiters were great, with one particular stand out guy who was very entertaining.... More
