Decent smooth jazz, but odd agitated vibe at the bar. Bartender who had only been there for a few days shared that"everybody hated me", and that the place was strange after it seemed this person was having difficulties using the computer register. Then after saying it's about time to leave, calls the manager over, they have a slightly heated interaction,... More

The service, food and general atmosphere were all so-so. We picked this restaurant for the live jazz band, which did not disappoint. The rest though, was a little sub -par.

Perfect evening jazz with a cocktail and a pizza. They do a terrific jazz brunch here too. And outside tables for great Greenwich Village people watching

Amazing food, great atmosphere, live music. The food was fantastic. With prompt and efficient service. Zachary, my waiter was amazing, pleasant and accommodating. There is live jazz music every night, but it isn't over-powering. You can have a conversation and not feel like you're shouting. Overall, this was one of the best restaurants I've been to in my life.

Avoid this slop house. Restaurant serves over cooked food and servers are rude and indifferent to the quality of the food.

My husband and I have had two opportunities to eat at this restaurant on our frequent travels to NYC. Our first experience 6 years ago was good enough to make us want to return there this past fall, despite the many other options we've left untasted in the city. Our first experience was dining al fresco at night, and it's... More

Prime Angus Beef Short Rib Stroganoff was full of the gristle and fat of the short rib. We were unable to eat anything but the noodles and mushrooms. Manager removed the 2 meal charges. Other meals not enjoyed but eatable were the Pork Belly and Three Meat Bolognese. We did love the Calamari and Apple Strudel. Jazz bands during dinner... More

Best brunch ever, we had ours outside even though there was live music playing inside. Great place and the Big Gay Ice cream place is right across the street which has the best icecream ever!

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
