Out-of-towners & locals alike dive into the a la carte dinners & Prix Fixe Brunches while watching the show. In the summer, the outdoor cafe is an airy spot for micro-brewed beers, raw bar selections & a wide range of fresh seafood & grilled steaks. In the winter, tables around the stone fireplace warm crowds.

A great venue. Great music. The food and service were excellent. My first visit here and would definitely come back... Don't like anonymous comments, well done The Garage... Gerard Allen

Only one visit recently for lunch, but menu of burgers and salads was well executed, atmosphere and service good. If you're looking for music, it's a good bet evenings. Otherwise, a reliable place for pub lunch, near the Christopher St. subway.

We had the Christmas brunch. For $30 apiece, pretty good. The $10 minosas, not so much. The host was curt, and almost inattentive. Waiter did a good job, and the jazz was very good.

We had looked at all the reviews on here before we booked but really wanted to go to a place with live music on Christmas day. We arrived 5 minutes before our reserved time (7.30pm) and stood in a queue for at least 20 ,minutes without being acknowledged. The guy who was seating people kept walking up to the podium... More

We went for the jazz, which was terrific, but were unexpectedly wowed by the food. The calamari appetizer was one of the best I've dad, and was large enough to feed four people. We both had salads as our entree, and they were excellent. I had the Roasted Butternut Squash, and my wife had the Pear salads, which were incredibly... More

6 of us had flown to New York for the weekend and we decided to try this restaurant. The waitress took our order for cocktails and the service was painfully slow. After ordering our dinner the true wait began. The restaurant was not busy so after about an hour I asked the waitress about our food. 10 minutes later an... More

We stumbled upon this little gem walking back from another live jazz club which we had to pay for. Although the previous one was superb we couldn't believe our luck as the NYC Jazz Symphony Orchestra was playing [some 20+ instruments], and after a Japanese pianist who was equally sublime. It is difficult to describe the atmosphere in words but... More

The jazz brunch is great; mimosas, food, etc. Don't sit too close to the jazz band if you expect to carry a conversation. The staff was great and they didn't rush you out. It gets busy so make reservations and get there early.

This place is very cozy and has great jazz music with some personal fun touch (musicians interact with guests). The service is great and if you can sit near the fireplace it is nice and warm. Great for friends and couples. I also enjoyed the fact that it is not in the middle of the crazy downtown and times square.... More
