I know the movies always talk about this place but really, for $5 you get 2 dogs and a drink and the hot dogs are very good. Quick in and out, not too many places to sit and eat so be prepared to eat as you are walking. Add it to the things to do list when in NY

Gray's Papaya is always one of my stops when I visit NYC, along with Carnegie Deli. You can't get hot dogs like this in LA, maybe close, but at 3 to 5 times the price. Skip Nathan's, they're similar but Gray's is much cheaper. Can't beat the deal of 2 dogs and a drink for $4.95, you'd pay that much... More

My wife and I ate lunch here while in NYC for our honeymoon. We ate here because my wife said it was an iconic place you have to go to. The dogs were good but the papaya drink was awesome! That was the most impressive thing that I had from this establishment.

The nostalgia of this place combined with the straight up deliciousness of their dogs and papaya drink is unbeatable. You simply have to eat at Gray's when you're in NYC. It's very cheap too!

As most people know, Anthony Bourdain loves this place after a late night out . . . it is also a great place for a quick, refreshing and cheap meal so you can keep on exploring this amazing city. Two delicious hot dogs (get the sauerkraut and onions on it) and a juice drink for $4.95. Can't beat it! The... More

Must try I should say when visiting NYC. Kids love it! Loads of option (toppings) to choose from. Very reasonable price.

We stayed at a hotel two blocks from this corner dog emporium and I had lunch several time there during the week. I love a good dog and these were great. Natural casing all-beef and grilled. I had mine with kraut and spicy mustard with a glass of pineapple-banana-peach juice. I'm bettin' they serve Papaya Dogs in Heaven!

Whenever I happen to walk by a Gray's I go in for a Pina Colada. It is cold, refreshing, and fills you up.I have no idea how many calories are in it, but who cares.I believe it is made from fresh ingredients.

It's not haute cuisine, but it is a kitschy, tourist-worthy taste of New York for every visitor to the city. Get a hot dog or two and a juice, and be entertained. It's great for a hot dog, and budget friendly too. I've been to multiple locations and have only noticed minimal differences, so take your pick and visit a... More

While in NYC visiting family, our son was perturbed that I was headed off to find a hot dog vendor for a quick snack, insisting that we must try our this place, one of his favorites. I just had a basic hotdog (there are many ways to dress it up) - and it was definitely better than the normal street... More
