Authentic Greek

Right next to Macy's on the 7th, this place though shabby is very good for the authenticity of the food. The Chef is Greek, and their pita bread with meat/chicken is great, and make sure it is doubly laced with their secret sauce. A takeaway is an equally good option, prices are very reasonable.

I ordered lamb and beef gyro sandwich- it is fresh and taste is okey. What is unique about this place is the location, within a block or two are Macys and Grand Central so it is simply amazing that you can spend $8.50 and find a roomy place to have your lunch, quietly

The lamb gyro platter is delicious, large, and very reasonable pricing for what you get. Plenty of room to eat in or take out.

This was a fave stop of mine 30+ years ago when I lived in NY. It's still across from Madison Square Garden, and still offers big, yummy, gyros. Grab a bunch of napkins and a fork!

I had a gyro here today. It was delicious. Sure, the tzatziki is not what you might expect in terms of a traditional tzatziki, but it works well on the gyro. The gyro is really messy though. I needed all 4 napkins they gave me. However, it was really delicious and can't be more convenient to Penn Station. For NYC,... More
