The best meal I had while in NYC

Just as I get off at Penn Station I was overwhelmed at all the people... After a long morning at the office, a quick flight to NYC, an adventure in traveling from Newark to NYC, I saw Sponelli's! Starving, I made my way across the street and walked inside. I ordered the Gyro, no tomato, and it... read more

I have been eating at Gyro II since I was in Elementary School and never miss a chance to stop by and eat a Gyro when in NYC. This is a pure comfort food for me and the sauce and pitas along with the lamb are amazing.

Been going here for 35 years. The best tasting gyro in NYC. The sauce is the secret ingredient. I would give it six stars but dropped it to 5 because the bathrooms are horrible, but who cares.

I enjoyed my lamb gyro, very tasty. Almost comparable to what you would eat in Greece. Service was fast, friendly. Restaurant was cleaner than most.

To me it's simply the best. It's all about the sauce. I always leave saying I should of gotten two of them.

Whether headed to or from the train at Penn Station, this joint offers tasty Greek fare. Love the gyros piled high with onions and delicious tsatziki.

I always get the Greek sausage plate. Comes with sausage, pita bread and salad with a great white sauce.

First of all, this is just my personal opinion: I never had anything in the area of fast food which was quite like this. This gyro sandwich is absolutely delicious, couldn't say anything else. The friendly and occasionally really funny staff completes it. Will go there again every time in NYC. But in fact I think not everybody will like... More

These guys were so sweet and helpful. I had the chicken gyro platter and enjoyed it very much. Their tatziki is much sweeter than I'm used to but wasn't bad. The olives aren't pitted but I don't mind that, just fair warning. The building is a bit worn out when you go upstairs to sit and eat but I would... More
