Visited twice, not consistent in service or food

We visited Haru twice in our short stay in NY. The first time we walked out feeling great. The service from Ana was outstanding. Her recommendations were spot on. The second time the service was very inconsistent and we felt that the food was not as good as the first time.

The food isnt bad. We wanted some sushi and we did not want to travel far because we had to catch a flight. So I looked up best sushi time square and picked this place. I would recommend you give it a try, im sure there are other dishes that are good. Service was great!

If you like good sushi and duck, then this the place. It is in the Wall Street district easy to find. Great atmosphere, great service, and food above and beyond. I eat duck whenever I am at if on the menu. They have a crispy duck that is so tender and tasty served with a fried veggie onion combination and a... More

I went with my family while we were on vacation in New York. It was my father's birthday and we wanted to celebrate. So we ordered a variety of appetisers and main entrees. All I can say is that the quality of the fish and food were fantastic! Nice soft tuna and salmon. And the vegetables were tasty and fresh.... More

I stayed near Time Square for business and went to Haru for dinner one night. Very good atmosphere and I felt very comfortable at the sushi bar. The food was fresh and service was fast and pleasant. You are definitely paying a premium for the convenience of getting sushi in Tome Square, but good quality regardless.

we were at haru times square on a weeknight for some dinner, and though the food was good, the servers were not. they were curt and borderline rud, and over the course of our meal in an attempt to be attentive, they interrupted our meal at least seven times. when it came time for the bill, they grabbed a glass... Staying in times square.. needed my sushi fix. This place had great reviews and wanted to try it. Its nice that they have a bar bar, not just a sushi bar. Dining alone sometimes is never 'fun' but it helps to have a bar bar with a couple TVs to entertain and enjoy some good sushi and sake.. The sushi... More

My wife, daughter and myself had the privilege of eating at Haru last week and enjoyed the entire experience. This was the first ime I ate at Haru and must say that it will not be the last time. My wife had told me earlier about this restaurant for she was a regular so we made a point to visit... More

Stopped in for a quick lunch with the family before leaving town. The food was tasty, the service excellent and the prices reasonable. Setback from Broadway on W. 43rd, the dining room was comfortable and a nice oasis from the madness of Times Square.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
