I was visiting a friend in NYC. We randomly picked this spot on on Friday evening. We didn't have a reservation. We had to wait 15 minutes, which wasn't bad at all. Our server was incredibly friendly and helped with suggestions. I had the fantasy roll and my friend had the broadway roll. We also tried tempura cheesecake and banana... More

Have eaten here twice before attending nearby Broadway shows. Sushi was fresh and flavorful, service prompt and efficient. Prices about average for the area.

I had early dinner at Haru (most Japanese places are closed until 6pm so this was perfect for us as I had to make a reservation for 4pm) With another person. We ordered 5 pieces of sashimi and sushi as a starter, and 3 special rolls (spicey titanic, rainbow and dragon) which were excellent. To go with it, also some... More

Sushi was not as fresh as should be; slightly warm too. Sticky rice didn't seem freshly made either. Have had better at joints in DC, at half the price. Service was wanting too. I ordered the sushi tray, and when I asked for miso soup, server says "that's not part of the sushi tray." Well, duh! That's why it was... More

In the last few months we've had the opportunity to stop by more frequently to one of our neighborhood favorites. Still remains our 'go to' for sushi and they continue to impress us in this bustling theatre district restaurant. Most recently the place was packed and yet the service was professional - friendly and not harried or brisk. Kudos to... More

Stick to Happy Hour - great value on cocktails and food. The restaurant has good food but the service is so rushed you can hardly enjoy it.

We ordered 5 different rolls, and the only one that was standing out was the one with the strawberries. The sushi rice felt dryish, almost old. Not fresh at all. Im guessing the rolls were pre-made. The rest of the rolls tasted the same. So dissapoimted, and clearly the sushi were not worth the price. The waiter didn't ask us... More

We enjoyed sushi here before a show. A bustling place with a nice decor. Friendly and smiling wait staff. The sushi and sashimi was nicely presented and very tasty. We were not rushed at all, unlike most places in the this area of midtown. We had a 6pm reservation and easily made it to an 8pm show a few blocks... More

After a long day of walking around the city, my friends and I were in the search for a good dinner to cap off our experience. We had seen Haru when we drove by that morning and decided to pop in for dinner. It had a pretty good atmosphere, definitely a good place to meet up with friends or for... More

The quality of the sushi was just ok..it actually felt quiet chewy at times..it didn't feel as fresh as it should. We asked about tea (it was really cold that evening) but there was only green tea available which was quiet disappointing. The ambiance was nice. The restaurant is good for after work quick dinner but it is not the... More
