Consistently good

I visit Haru fairly often due its proximity to my work. It's consistently good. Good bento box for lunch, nice sushi/sashimi & all others Japanese specialties for both lunch & dinner. It tries to be innovative as well, with mixed results (crushed almonds on sushi). Friendly atmosphere. Service... read more

We stopped by for lunch, they had great specials. The restaurant is beautiful and looks new, and high end. We were disappointed with the tofu steak bento box, it contained fish in two parts of the box. We assumed a tofu entree would have no meat/fish. The vegetable tempura was very good. For the price, it was excellent.

We got to the restaurant slightly before our reservation and they were able to immediately seat us. The sushi was high quality/grade. They had a wide variety and the service was very nice. We were able to eat without rushing and still got to our show on time.

Great place to meet up with friends and colleagues. Great food and service. We had an array of various rolls and the Calamari appetizer was amazing! The sushi is fresh and starting off with the edamames is always very nice.

We were in NYC to see a few shows and Haru had been recommended to us. This location was very conveniently located for us, both near the hotel and the shows. Although it is just off of Times Square the mood here is relaxed and soothing unlike the frenzy that is Times Square. We were in NYC for three days... More

Great sushi restaurant with decent prices. It's in a great location, portion sizes are large and prices are good. I recommend this if you like sushi! Not sure about their other food, since I love sushi.

I've been to New York 4 times and I always come back to this little gem. I love Japanese food and I find the food consistent, fresh and really clean to eat. Service is great and it has a nice atmosphere. I love the symphony dish and have it every time I visit. I always look forward to visiting Haru!

Ate here 1/7/2016 and has sushi and sashimi for 2. Decent amount of food for 2 at a cost of $61 which is reasonable in NYC. Service was very good. Only negative was how close we were sitting to the 2 tables next to us. Could have very easily shared their food with them as our table was 8" on... More

My husband dines here as his favorite sushi restaurant twice monthly in Midtown. I dined there with him late Sept and again Dec 30. Deelish and authentic food with top shelf spirits available. The appetizer of fried, salted (can get sea salt on the side instead for dipping) with one hidden hot pepper are great to last bite. My husbands... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
