I stayed near Time Square for business and went to Haru for dinner one night. Very good atmosphere and I felt very comfortable at the sushi bar. The food was fresh and service was fast and pleasant. You are definitely paying a premium for the convenience of getting sushi in Tome Square, but good quality regardless.

we were at haru times square on a weeknight for some dinner, and though the food was good, the servers were not. they were curt and borderline rud, and over the course of our meal in an attempt to be attentive, they interrupted our meal at least seven times. when it came time for the bill, they grabbed a glass... Staying in times square.. needed my sushi fix. This place had great reviews and wanted to try it. Its nice that they have a bar bar, not just a sushi bar. Dining alone sometimes is never 'fun' but it helps to have a bar bar with a couple TVs to entertain and enjoy some good sushi and sake.. The sushi... More

My wife, daughter and myself had the privilege of eating at Haru last week and enjoyed the entire experience. This was the first ime I ate at Haru and must say that it will not be the last time. My wife had told me earlier about this restaurant for she was a regular so we made a point to visit... More

Stopped in for a quick lunch with the family before leaving town. The food was tasty, the service excellent and the prices reasonable. Setback from Broadway on W. 43rd, the dining room was comfortable and a nice oasis from the madness of Times Square.

Nice restaurant, good food, pleasant décor and very good service. It is recommended to make a reservation, but we were nicely sated without a reservation and the waiter was polite, quick and very helpful. Before or after a show, it worth a try.

Although this restaurant is located in a very touristy location: Times Square, the service, menu and prices say otherwise. I have been to this restaurant several times before it went thru a complete renovation and the service continues to be outstanding! This time I sat at a table next to the window which is great for people watching. The sushi... More

Great bar and food. Always done well. Love the vibe and the servers are very good. They have some great signature cocktails as well.

Make a reservation on open table... but it's a quick lunch with consistent, nice lunch options and great grade sushi

I was in NYC on business looking for a quick, reasonable sushi place. I found Haru online and asked the hotel concierge for a recommendation. He enthusiastically agreed that Haru was the best choice. Easy to find just 1/2 block west of Times Square. Friendly, efficient service. Food was very good. I am not a sushi expert by any stretch.... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
