Good Burger

Ive been to many burger joints... this one does NOT disappoint. Amazing when someone asks you how you like it cooked, like MEDIUM and then you actually get MEDIUM. Great service.

Not a very spacey restaurant, but the burgers were good, as well as the prices. Nothing luxurious but for a good quick lunch it's a good choice.

Island Burgers and Shakes managed to feed and satisfy my fussy family. Was impressed by the reviews on TripAdvisor and hoped it would live up to the claims - we were not disappointed! The restaurant, service, and the food were excellent. Even our fussy kids enjoyed their meals - clean plates and no complaints! For the size of the establishment... More

My girlfriend and I were in search for some lunch after being in NYC a couple of days. We talked about that it was a little strange there was not that many burger restaurants or diners taking this is in USA. Then we stumbled upon this little cosy nice place and have to say - IF you want a burger,... More

My hubby and I went down to Hell's Kitchen for a spot of food. The restaurant is relatively small but has great tasting burgers, funky atmosphere and impeccable service. The staff is super friendly and there is a great choice of burgers from classics to something a little unusual. The chips were great and all tasted absolutely fab. Our dinner... More

We were looking for a place to have a quick burger after a long flight. This burger place on 9th avenue was perfect. There's a huge choice of burgers, one looking better than the next, made the choice difficult. All the burgers we ordered were perfectly cooked and extremely tasty. On the down side, the place is quite small and... More

Took my 13 year old son on a Wednesday night. We are both huge burger fans and Island Burgers did not disappoint. The menu had dozens of burgers to choose from with all sorts of unique combinations. I had the Bourbon Street Burger which was delicious and the little bucket of fries was crispy with yummy seasoning. The place is... More

We went along with our 7 and 8 year old for a quick dinner. My wife and I thought the food was fantastic, a little pricey but with large portions and wonderful flavours. There wasn't really any cheap kids options though, and the choices we made of the adult menu turned out to be a bit spicy for our kids'... More

The place is quite small, we were lucky to get a table at lunch time. The cheeseburger was simple and just simply the best I've ever had. Fries were good also. Milk shake thick and sweet. This place is worth a little detour if you're in NYC.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
