Went to Island Burgers before a show at Terminal 5. So glad I walked a few blocks to find this place. The restaurant is really small and they only take cash, so if you go during peak times, you're in for a wait. Our server was very friendly and attentive. I ordered a strawberry milkshake and The Derby (avacado, bleu... More

I ate here with my husband last week. We had the Cowboy and People's Choice burgers which were both awesome. When ordering sides the waitress advised that they were on the generous side, which turned out to be the case (and is a good thing as they are a bit pricey) so a side of fries between two people should... We got to Island Burger's during happy hour so we ordered sliders. We got Bangkok, Salsa, and regular cheeseburger sliders and they were all juicy and good. We also ordered cheese fries which were delicious. The place is small but we got there before the end of the day rush so were able to get a table immediately. Carl was... More

We found ourselves on the Upper North Side of Manhattan on Amsterdam Ave. looking for a place to lunch. Lucky, we came to the right spot in that we were in the middle of several blocks of mom and pop restaurants. We looked at several and finally decided that a burger was what we wanted and Island Burger and Shake... More

We went here on a busy Friday night. This place is very small. We were lucky to get a table. The front doors were wide open and fans were running in the back so while it was not too uncomfortable, it was a bit on the warm side. The 2 female hostesses/Waitresses were a bit short with us. It seems... More

Without doubt the best burger place I have ever visited. Terrific food, nice staff. Will definitely be back even though we're only in NYC for a short week.

Great burger and so many styles of burgers to choose from. I usually get the Chesky burger, which is always good. My friend got the Mona Lisa burger and said it was the best burger he's ever had. The real reason my friends and I keep coming back to this restaurant is the Black & White milk shake, which is... More

We decided to eat here at the end of a long day of walking, before we departed for the airport. When we arrived , we were initially discouraged by the size as there were seven of us and the place is only very small. The staff pulled together a few small tables and we squeezed in. Our initial concerns were... More

I went here with my family and had a great time. The shakes were very good but the spicy burgers were easily the best part. There were so many burgers to try the biggest challenge was narrowing them down. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes more unusual burgers.
