We were all running late and hadn't had breakfast - so these delicious omelets at 1:30 in the afternoon hit the spot. Great fresh ingredients - terrific absolutely friendly/engaging service. The omelets were generous and well made...and those biscuits! Yum. Good coffee (and soy milk/soy lattes are available!). We'll be back - we want to be regulars! I was not... More

A friend recommended this restaurant to us and it was close to where we live in Harlem so we decided to try it out. Very happily surprised! It's a small restaurant but the service is great and it feels very welcoming. The food was delicious and I loved that they serve breakfast until the late afternoon. I had the Lumberjane... More

A little pricey food was good but not a whole lot to brag about. I had scrambled eggs homemade turkey sausage, my son had a omelette with a biscuit. I paid with cash which took 10% off the bill. Which was a very pleasant surprise.

Walked in to the display of cupcakes, etc. and around 5 people behind/around the counter - all of them looked as if they worked there or were being trained to work there. None of them greeted or paid me any attention and when I asked for a menu or table the man who responded had a bit of an attitude... More

Tiny place, but the food and service was excellent. We went for breakfast and had several different meals. Oatmeal, Spinach and tomato omelet, Eggs with bacon on a biscuit with potatoes, A waffle with apples, Veggie omelet, and a Turkey sausage omelet, with a side of grits. All of the meals were very good. Just the right amount, not too... More

We had a very pleasant brunch at Kitchenette--the variety and preparation of dishes was great, and this is a good brunch option near Columbia University. The service we received, however, was unbecoming of a reputable establishment. The one caveat being that we were a group of 11 people; however, group size is not a legitimate reason for lesser service quantity.... More

Very popular with Columbia students and visitors.... a large delicious breakfast..... every thing was good. I particularly liked the option of cheese grits as a side instead of home fries. So good. Its a small, cute place with poka dots on the tables. So while that is charming, it also a issue because there can be a long wait. Seemed... More

We have been in NYC for a day or so to visit my son who attends Columbia University. We had a couple hours to kill before our train so we found the Kichenette and it was a very pleasant surprise. It was a quaint little place with very good food. We had a party of five so they needed to... More

Found this online as it was near our hotel; small, with kitchy decor. We were a party of 5 and without a reservation for breakfast---but they were able to seat us. The menu was extensive and the food was fantastic. Our party had greek yougurt parfaits which they raved about; husbany had eggs and pan-fried potatoes (plated beautifully & delicious... More

This little place is full of delicious dishes. I love their breakfast options; array of French toast, scrambled eggs, pancakes, etc. I had an omelette with a short stack of pancakes and I totally loved it. The portions are very generous and I think the price is reasonable considering the good quality of the food. My friends also liked their... More
