Came here on my first night in NY as it was just about walking distance from the hostel I was staying in. Ended up having a reasonable burger with a nice beer and dessert. Maybe not the best burger in NY but the great and friendly service I received merited a 4 star review for this nice neighbourhood eatery.

Great little spot for brunch with good food and cute decor. Although the portions could be bigger, the food was awesome. Beware of their version of the Bloody Mary, it's made with wasabi wine instead of vodka. I normally drink multiple bloodys in one sitting no problem, one sip of theirs and it was heartburn city. I had to gulp... More

An easy walk from Columbia. Charming little spot with excellent food, although a bit pricey. My build-your-own salad was $15 for kale, tomatoes, turkey, red peppers, avocado, and cheese. It was more than I could eat. Milkshakes were $6.75. Peach tea $4.25. All delicious. Excellent service.

The biscuits really are good! They were my favorite part of the $10 Farmhouse special which included two eggs, breakfast potatoes, and a biscuit. The potatoes were so-so, not a lot of flavor. Biscuits are served with peach preserves (also yummy). If I go there again, I will definitely try more of the baked goods or breads, perhaps pancakes. The... More

While my friends and I were sightseeing in the Morningside Heights area, we stopped at the Kitchenette Restaurant for lunch. The staff was friendly and the waiter was very attentive. The tables were very small and spaced closely together. I think they could remove a table or two to give us some breathing room. The menu options were plentiful. I'm... More

Charming place near Columbia U. They had a great special: 10 items on the menu for $10 before 10AM. The waiter was attentive and the food was great. You're getting great value for the food.

We went for brunch having read some good reviews but were rather disappointed. The staff were at best indifferent to serving us and took for ever despite their large numbers. We were seated on a table for two along side the bar, but there was a nasty draft every time the front door opened, my chair was wobbly and bizarrely... More

The fried chicken was dry and not so tasty. The cheescake was frozen. Friendly service, a bit overpriced.

Found this gem while on lunch from a seminar at the Interchurch Center. Loved the charm and the healthy menu. Choose the winter salad which was full of spinach and healthy additions like butternut squash and cranberries.

I visited here on a visit in Feb 2014. I had researched places to eat before I left and this place just stood out for me. I arrived just after they opened. What a lovely cafe!! All colour and cake! Such a homely place! The cakes on display were huge& I just wanted to sit there all day& sample everything!... More
