The food and service are always great. Prices are reasonable. I go here every time I'm in the City...
When you walk in you are just amazed, the aroma will knock you out. Checkered tablecloths, wine on the table. The food is increditable, If you love food from Italy and you are in NYC, La Mela is a must. I am sure the Godfather would love this place.
I have to say I was very disappointed with my dining experience. We ordered the 3 course dinner and first of all was charged a full adult rate for my 11 year old since they offer no discount for children. Small and stunning restaurant in the middle of "little italy" Wonderful atmosphere, Lovely Service And food divine!!

My husband and I enjoyed the family style meal. Simply awesome. The service was great. We went there on a Monday evening after work so the restaurant was not super busy. The staff was attentive and great! Our table was cleared quickly between courses. The food was awesome! A quick walk from the Holiday Inn Soho where we stayed. Great... More
