Great lunch

Stopped here for a light lunch, had the confit de canard which was great and the scallops (two of us). Service was friendly. Good value until we got the "would you like macaroons with your coffee?" We knew we'd pay but $12 for a few soggy macaroons really ruined the experience. Why oh why do places... read more

Popped in here by chance after the theatre on the way back to our hotel Downtown, not realising it was an Anthony Bourdain restaurant. It was nearly 4pm but no one batted an eye when we ordered moules frites and hamburgers. Service was good, puddings prettily served and tasty.Would recommend if you are in the area

We visited around 9:30am on a Friday so the restaurant was not busy at all. My DH had picked our breakfast place today and it was great. Short walk from our hotel, World Center Hotel. DH had the salmon omlette which came with homefries and baguette toast. I'm not the biggest breakfast eater so I ordered a chocolate croissant and... More

Not knowing that this was an Anthony Bourdain restaurant, my family and I walked in here for lunch after visiting the 9/11 museum. We had no expectations other than a passable lunch. What a treat to find a menu that was a pastiche of a traditional French brasserie! Suffice to say that we all loved our food. The Confit de... More

Great fan of 'No Reservations' so took the chance to dine at Les Halles whilst in New York and it didn't disapoint! American sized portions - so make sure you are hungry when you arrive as this is no lunchtime snack - burger was hand made and delicious as were the onion rings....the only negative was - no room for... We went there for dinner and despite booking we ha to wait about 20 minutes before being seated cheek to jowl so no conversation was unheard. The service was friendly but the water waiters were there to fill your glass after every sip which got rather tiresome. The steak was very good, coq au vin good but not served with... More

Arrived early evening so it was quite quiet. A friendly welcome and table found quickly. My server promised water and bread, I ordered a Kronenbourg. It arrived without a 'head' which is unusual for a European beer. Still no bread, unusual for a French restaurant. I ordered the onion soup and steak frites. Still no bread. There are a number... As a huge fan of Anthony Bourdain I was pleased to find out that the restaurant where he used to be the chef at was right next to my hotel in the financial district. The food was amazing and so was the service. The interior was beautiful. You really do feel like you are sitting at a brassiere in France.... More

Stopped here for Sunday breakfast. Great French pressed coffee, excellent eggs benedict. Service was slow but cordial.

Not sure if I am naming the correct Restaurant The one we enjoyed was on Park Avenue near Hotel Giraffe. Liked the food and atmosphere. Disliked: Service a bit un-attentive, but we were there at an off hour- not lunch and not dinner....
