My husband and I often go into NYC to see Sandy Sasso perform jazz at Bar 55. Whenever we do, we go for an early dinner at Little Havana at 30 Cornelia St.. You can't beat the prices and the food cooked by Lydia in the tiny kitchen is superb. Everytime I go, I have to eat the ropa vieja... More

Nice surprise while travelling on business in the area. Decent atmosphere for dinner. Had some music playing...fun place. Try the chicken chunks...not your traditional KFC fried chicken. No breading, but with this really nice lime hint of flavor. Very tasty. Definitely try the little Havana steak with the chimichurri sauce. Nice! Also had the alternate side of rice mixed with... We went to Little Havana about !0 pm on a Sunday evening and thought we would be the only ones there. As we were eating, 4 other small groups of people entered the restaurtant and ordered their wine and meals and no one said anything about the !0:30 closing time. A older woman from Havana opened this restaurant some years... More

One of my very favourite restaurants in all of NYC. Fresh, simple and casual dining. The owner and cook came to our table. Sweet little lady named Lidia. The filet Mignon was PEREFECTLY cooked and served with rice and beans and tostones. My sister was visiting from out of town and I brought her here. It was her favourtie meal... More

We visited NY on a long weekend (Oct 2009) and the manager of our guesthouse recommended this restaurant to us. We were very glad we listened to him. It is a tiny little place, very welcoming with a homely feel. We really enjoyed our meal - including the plantains suggested by the waitress. The sangria was very nice too. Sadly... More

We had an early dinner here in mid- january. Food was great, I had Arroz con Pollo. Sangria was excellent as well. Service was perfect. The place is small so go early or make reservations.

What a wonderful place to eat, we went after having a tasting on a walking food tour. Atmosphere is lovely and the food is fantastic. I would advise booking in advance to avoid dissappointment as there are only 22 seats and are understandably popular. We watched several parties be turned away as the restaurant was full. Should make this place... More

We had picadillo and salmon, good sangria, and maduros. It was a lovely, peaceful place to eat.

Wonderful find; great dishes, pleasant atmosphere, good value, not fancy. Try the Ropa Vieja. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Thumbs up!. Cozy place with yummy food. We had the Roasted Pork Medallions and the Spicy Chorizos...just perfect... you can feel the love!!! I'm definitely coming back to try the Ropa Vieja everyone is talking about but this time I'll leave space for the flan.
