I've eaten at Market Cafe a number of times over the years and I always walk out feeling like it was an adequate but not great meal. The service is a little haphazard - some of the staff are really on top of their game and others seem like they just started that day. The food is also a little... More

I had an omlet with ham, mushrooms and Swiss, but they had many options to choose from! The Rosemary Homefries were done with a crispy skin, but soft inside, so good my mouth is watering! The staff was very nice and right there with refills for our water. My husband had the Chipotle Hash which was tasty too. Next time... More

Loved the atmosphere. Loved the food, drink and excellent service. We were meeting a tour guide there and the staff was very friendly.

And the serving was exceptional. This restaurant is at Union Square and is a must when going to Manhattan. Right for the money, though slightly higher than the average budget, I heartily recommend it. You may have to make a reservation and it is worth it.

Great food and ambience. We enjoyed dinner and cocktails here. I had the salmon, which was fresh and delicious. My partner had the tacos, which were also good. The service was friendly and efficient. We would recommend this place if you are in the area.

The service was excellent and the food was prepared well, but be prepared for a restaurant that has awful acoustics. Consequently, it was extremely hard to hear my spouse, but the conversations around us were annoying.

Landed on this cafe through Yelp, great place. The service is a little slow and poor but the food was great. I had the Salmon with sauteed kale, it was delicious!

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
