Very good quality food and fast service made my day !

I have been visiting this restaurant for lunches and dinners time to time (once in every two months, I guess) may be for the last 13 months and have never been disappointed with the quality of food. Today at lunchtime, Penne alla vodka was almost excellent, may be there was more vodka than the... read more

The service here was horrible - worse so because there weren't many people in the restaurant, so it's not like there were overly busy. After sitting at my table for about 5 minutes, I was asked if I wanted a drink. I had to ask for a menu to look at, and then ask for a wine menu. Another 5... More

Table of 6 for a business lunch today. We had a great experience! Beginning with a wonderful greeting at the door and ending with a heartfelt thank you for going! Appetizers of asparagus, sautéed calamari, mushroom puree soup (2), tomatoes & Mozzarella, and mussels were very good. Entrees of Cheese ravioli, scottish salmon (2), lamb osso bucco, chicken marsala, and... More

Dined here on a Sunday night with the family. First time, and it left an excellent impression. Service was attentive without being overbearing. Salads were fresh and the pasta was outstanding. Will be back

Simply delicious Italian dining! Thanks to Mother Nature the finest Italian restaurant came to the rescue while I was stuck in the snow last night. I had the delicious home made meatballs as an appetizer and Dover sole made table side as my entree. Both were delicious and perfectly presented. My waiter was Avelino who was so accommodating and helpful... More

We rented a condo for six months and found this place right around the corner on 2nd ave. looks deceiving from the outside but is very nice inside with an intimate bar and several levels. Nightly specials to die for. The lemoncella pasta was wonderful as was the ravioli. The fish was excellent and, if I remember correctly, the even... More

Dear Carl R, Thank you for being a loyal customer and for taking the time to share your experience. Parking is a little difficult to find in our neighborhood. But, we do validate parking at the Quickpark garage which is on 48th St between 1st & 2nd Ave. It's only $10 for five hours as opposed to the usual rate.... More

Always good to be back at Nino's on 2nd Avenue. Good priced prefixed lunch menu. Be aware the around 1Pm, it is recommended to book in advanced due to it is busy with UN diplomats between 1 - 3 pm. Good service.

A great restaurant that I rediscovered at a recent business lunch in NYC. Nino's has been a neighborhood favorite for many years and we had lunch and dinner here frequently when I was based in midtown NYC. The owners are frequently present and oversee the seating and service which makes it in many ways unique to other restaurants in the... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
