Amazing food!

Went here on a whim one night since it was close to the bridge and had outdoor seating. The service at first was slow and it took a while for someone to greet us and ask for our drink order and it was not even that busy but maybe they were short staffed. The food made up for it though... read more

Come for the Italian fare and return for the pasta. Simple yet profoundly complex in structure and taste. Just great

We were strangers to 2nd Avenue and wandered in. We were so delighted we came back the next day, and would have done it again but we had to go back to Seattle. The decor is cozy, the menu and bar varied, and the food absolutely top notch, the staff friendly and attentive and the prices attractive. It really is... More

I'd visited the UN and was told by the cops that 2nd Avenue was the place to go for food. I checked out several but I liked the look of this place and my instincts weren't wrong. It has the look and feel of a classic Italian restaurant with a sharp suited gent (Nino himself?) supervising operations. More importantly, the... More

Apparently, certain New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox have been known to frequent this establishment. The food was terrific. Veal, to chicken to pasta, this place was amazing.

The service here was horrible - worse so because there weren't many people in the restaurant, so it's not like there were overly busy. After sitting at my table for about 5 minutes, I was asked if I wanted a drink. I had to ask for a menu to look at, and then ask for a wine menu. Another 5... More

Table of 6 for a business lunch today. We had a great experience! Beginning with a wonderful greeting at the door and ending with a heartfelt thank you for going! Appetizers of asparagus, sautéed calamari, mushroom puree soup (2), tomatoes & Mozzarella, and mussels were very good. Entrees of Cheese ravioli, scottish salmon (2), lamb osso bucco, chicken marsala, and... More

Dined here on a Sunday night with the family. First time, and it left an excellent impression. Service was attentive without being overbearing. Salads were fresh and the pasta was outstanding. Will be back

I have been visiting this restaurant for lunches and dinners time to time (once in every two months, I guess) may be for the last 13 months and have never been disappointed with the quality of food. Today at lunchtime, Penne alla vodka was almost excellent, may be there was more vodka than the required amount but that was no... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
