Always good to be back at Nino's on 2nd Avenue. Good priced prefixed lunch menu. Be aware the around 1Pm, it is recommended to book in advanced due to it is busy with UN diplomats between 1 - 3 pm. Good service.

A great restaurant that I rediscovered at a recent business lunch in NYC. Nino's has been a neighborhood favorite for many years and we had lunch and dinner here frequently when I was based in midtown NYC. The owners are frequently present and oversee the seating and service which makes it in many ways unique to other restaurants in the... More

We were looking for a place to eat close to our hotel on 44 Street and stumbled across Nino's Positano. It was a pleasant surprise. The restaurant is typically Italian, very comfortable with unrushed service. It was quiet and easy to have a conversation, with enough room between tables giving you some privacy. I ordered the Paesana pizza and it... More

We had a great lunch at Nino's! It turned into what we thought would be a typical lunch into a memorable dining experience! We sat outside and enjoyed the city! Our server was top notch, along with Nino stopping by many times to fill our wine glasses, add another table to make more room & pulled the awning out for... More

We were walking up and down 2nd looking for someplave to eat. We had passed Positano and saw lots of people there so looked at the menu and thought it was interesting. We walked down about 10 blocks and nothing looked as appealing so we returned to Positanos. The service was excellant even as they got more busy. I had... More

We lived in this neighborhood for quite awhile and this was our go-to favorite italian restaurant. Great service, cool back room and really authentic food. About 20 bucks a plate. They really seem to know what they are doing

We had a very pleasant dinner with another couple on a Saturday night. The reservations were for 8:00 pm and the restaurant was not crowded. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive from the moment we arrived. The menu was not elaborate but they did have a number of specials and we all found something we liked to order. We... I wanted a place that was authentic and not commercial and that's exactly what I got. The staff was very attentive and the food was delicious! Needed somewhere good for our 25th wedding anniversary dinner in New York and mioe the doorman at intercontinental barkley recommended the restaurant. Service exceptional, food superb and wine excellent. Additional touches of happy anniversary spelt out on the desert plate and complimentary drink at the conclusion of the meal. Great food on all courses and staff were welcoming and professional.... More
