We went there during very bad weather but were glad we made it there. It was restaurant week. However they have a prix fixe menu for $38.00. There were 4 of us and we all loved our meal. They brought some bread and 4 green peppers for us to enjoy. The appetizers were very good including the beef carpaccio and... More

There are many restaurants in New York named Nino's. This restaurant is on First Avenue between 72nd & 73rd Street on Manhattan (there are others under the same management but I think this is the original). I have been having treatments at Weill-Cornell; we have lunched at Nino’s many times over the last two years. Nino’s is fine dining, service... More

Had lunch on a cold January afternoon via Open Table . Love that site to find and book on the spur of the moment. Saw that they had a price fixed lunch at $25 per person for three courses. Arrived and there were only three other tables occupied, which is not surprising for 1 pm on a Tuesday on first... More

Excellent staff and service. Love to be greeted and seated by the owner or management of a restaurant and checked on after food served to be sure everything is to your liking. Food is very good. Piano player was coming on as we were done dining but we ate early. We both had specials and they were very good.

Went there for New Year's Eve. The place was rocking. Great music, dancing, open bar. Four-course dinner with the most tender beef, freshest seafood and excellent service. It was a night to remember.

Service was slow. They were reluctant to let us see the wine list, then managed to drip it after each pouring. Some of our party ordered from the specials list (recited by the waiter) and when eaten realised the main ingredient was missing, because the chef had "forgotten" to put it in! Never again.

The service and the food was some of the best on the UES. Try the stuffed quail or the duck risotto. The table zambioni was to die for, desert.

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
