There are a lot of high end steak houses in NYC. This is one that I like, and is better than average. Good service, food & wine, and pricey. Not the best, but a great option in the area and far from a bad choice.

We ate in the bar area at a high top. Service from the bartender was awesome. Had tuna steak and caprese salad. Both were good. Paid too much for a glass of wine, but hey we're In New York right?

We dined at one our our favorite restaurants, Palm Westside, to celebrate a friend's birthday. Although we notified the restaurant when we made our reservation that we would be celebrating a birthday, nothing special happened, although two nearby tables were also having birthday celebrations. As usual, the service was very good, the crab cakes amazing and the filets succulent. However,... More

At the Palm Restaurant, I shared an off the menu porterhouse steak with two others. The steak was cut and served at the table. It was tender, and just as requested, medium rare. We also had the delicious asparagus fritti, which came in a generous portion. The service was attentive. We amused ourselves by looking at the many drawings of... More

The food is always great here, service pretty good as well and their business man's lunch is a true bargain with soup or salad, choice of entrée and dessert. This is my go to place for lunch before the theatre. Their chicken parm and cheesecake is amazing. Love this place.

This was a great dinner. Pricey, but we knew that going in. Service was great and the food was fantastic.

I eat at Palm West frequently, and like it so much that we also hold our firm's annual holiday luncheon there (which has come to be known as the Lobster Shoot, for 35 - 45 people). Appetizers and cocktails are excellent; I usually order shrimp salad (the shrimp really ARE jumbo) or iceberg lettuce with dressing on the side and... More

Excellent service. Ana Mari was charming, knowledgeable and knew exactly what I would want to eat. While the place was loud I blame that on the rude and obnoxious customers at 2 tables near me but the restaurant is not to be blamed. The lobster bisque was excellent, the filet mignon was perfect, as ordered. I opted for the potatoes... More

We were going to the theatre last night and decided to try and old favorite, The Palm. Have to say, dinner was excellent. We were undecided about which clam app to get, the Baked clam Casino or Oreganata. Our waiter said, no worries, we'll do a half order of each. Both were good, not great. We ordered the strip steak... Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
