I was lucky enough to have a friend take me to dinner here. The cocktails and wine were excellent, as was the food. I had a steak, and my friend had the veal. Both dishes were very, very good, as was the side of wild mushrooms. Warning: avoid the bread basket. The breads they serve are amazing, and we kept... More

We have not been in a Palm Restaurant in over thirty years and this was a delight. This restaurant was across the street from "Wicked". We arrived early and stayed late. Our waiter got our first bottle of Jordan Wine and we proceeded to mellow out. We ordered our dinner. We both had a black bean soup which was very... More

A nice reasonable bottle of red wine. Two perfect medium rare rib-eyes, mashed, and asparagus fritts made for the perfect meal. Sorry no room for deserts!

The Palm is very good. It's not excellent, but you will get a satisfying meal served by a friendly (if slow, at times) staff for a not-unreasonable price. There were four of us for a pre-theatre dinner and everyone was pleased with their meals. I ordered the veal parm which was cooked perfectly, although I found the accompanying red sauce... More

The steaks were wonderful but the lamb chops and the lobster were beyond belief. Fantastic. The wild mushroom side was also exceptional BUT they were not wild mushrooms but a selection of different cultivated mushrooms. Definitely worth dining here.

Our meal was merely satisfactory. The original Palm was my husband's favorite restaurant. He always loved the sirloin or filet. This was our go to restaurant every time we were in NYC. No more. This was our second mediocre meal. Its time to try another steakhouse. Service was excellent but steak was no better than Costco quality.

From the bar, to the hostess to the service to the food, this place knows how to make the dining experience memorable. Our server was attentive, but left us alone, the food was beautiful. I ate wedge salad and bone-in rib eye. My wife had fillet and au gratin potatoes. Her first fillet was WAY over and they immediately fixed... More

This joint is expensive. Arguably the most I ever paid for a meal. It was worth every penny. We each ordered the NY strip steak, medium well, which is their signature dish. We were not disappointed. Also, our waitress was very friendly. We enjoyed ourselves immensely.

Dropped in for a quick bite after a matinee. Split a Cesar salad, the 18oz Sirloin, wild mushrooms and a baked potato. Didn't have room for dessert. The Bread basket had a good fresh selection. After a piece or two we begged them to take it away. My husband likes his meat medium well. I like mine medium rare. The... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
