"I can't say enough good things about Patsy's! Every time I visit NYC, it's a mandatory stop for me. This family-run gem serves up some of the best Italian cuisine I've ever had. The flavors are authentic and comforting, just like Nonna used to make....What truly sets Patsy's apart is the warm, welcoming atmosphere—they treat you like family here. Five stars all the way!"More

What an AMAZING experience! My best friend and I had the BEST Italian cuisine at Patsy’s! The atmosphere was quaint and cozy, the service was second to none, and the food was absolutely incredible! It’s worth the cost of the train ticket from VA just...to eat here. This icing on cake was meeting Sal, the 3rd generation chef at Patsy’s. He was incredibly humble and kind. This is a MUST DO when you’re in NYC!More

We went here with 5pm reservations prior to our 7pm Broadway show. The service was very fast and the food top-notch! Everything we had was delicious and we would certainly return again for a 3rd time. (we ate here on our last trip to NYC...in 2014).More

Our party of six attended a performance at Carnegie Hall and sought out someplace a little special within easy walking distance of the theatre. When making our reservation, we added an extra half hour to our three-hour travel time to account for traffic or getting...lost. We didn't have any problems and arrived for our reservation thirty minutes early and the host quickly and graciously accommodated us. Our server Nick introduced himself and made some recommendations while we settled in. His service throughout the night, as well as that of the other staff we encountered, was attentive, warm and friendly. Many had clearly enjoyed working together for a very long time. Nick joked with us and put us at ease, creating a relaxing and memorable experience on an already special night for our family. The restaurant feels intimate but is larger than it seems, with two dining levels. Our party sampled a variety of dishes, and each one was delicious. Even the Mozzarella Carozza was outstanding! Some of the dishes we tried were the soup of the day (Pasta e fagioli), Linguini Pesto, Trio of Ravioli (lobster, spinach and mushroom, each served with a distinctive sauce - YUM!), Rigatoni Cacciatore, and Chef Sal's Combo (a signature dish featuring a combo of chicken parmigiana and tortellini). An extensive wine list and full bar service enhanced the meal, and the dessert cart was absolutely amazing, featuring an array of mouth-watering options like cannoli cake, hands-down the BEST tiramisu I've ever had in my life, and a gorgeous chocolate mousse cake wrapped in chocolate like a special gift. There's a reason Frank Sinatra loved this place so much... this is a don't-miss NYC experience!More

The current staff and chef are living up to the standards of their predecessors. Excellent food, superb service and always friendly. We enjoy Patsy's every time we are in Ne York and are never disappointed. The frutti di mare was especially delicious this time. And...if they're in season, you must try the zucchini flower appetizer. Fantastico.More

If you love Italian food, stay away from that place. First of all, let me emphasize that the chef CANNOT possibly be Italian. No Italian chef with any ounce of self-respect could ever produce meatballs like the ones I had there. Taste : none. Texture...: none. Colour : none. For God's sake, I am no chef or even a very good cook but my meatballs would beat those with flying colours any time of the day. As for my girlfriend's stuffed pasta, they were undercooked. Very average plonk for 15 dollars a glass. The waiter ? There must have been more congenial people working as swimming coaches in the East German olympic team. On top of that, he also tried to swindle us on the tip. Now you have the full picture. This is NOT a remotely decent Italian restaurant by any standard. Maybe it used to be. But that was a long time ago.More

We had just got engaged (literally before going in here for dinner) and Italian is our favourite food (we've lived in Italy) and we wanted to be spontaneous. It looked good and was reasonably full and reviews looked good. The waiter was pretty indifferent and...borderline rude to us being there (I quite wanted to gush about the proposal but he didn't ask how we were or what we'd been doing). We had artichokes hearts to start and they tasted like they were out of a jar with huge pieces of barely chopped garlic and it all tasted slightly sour. We have the penne vodka for mains and it was substandard to be polite. Almost totally tasteless. I also had a glass of crap Sauvignon for yet another $16. Upon paying the waiter came back and said "you didn't leave a tip"! I had thought it was included since the bill was SO HIGH and didn't particularly want to add more as it just wasn't worth it and certainly didn't deserve a tip. He spoiled the evening for us and I left him $3, which hopefully offended him. Avoid at all costs, very deceiving, any Italians that go would be ashamed!More

I cannot say enough great things about this restaurant! This was my first time here and I chose this restaurant for our party of 5 after reading the history and loving that this was a family owned and operated business. Our table was ready when...we arrived just before our 6:30 reservation. Our server, Des, was professional, friendly and just THE BEST! We ordered drinks and apps-eggplant rolatine, fried mozzarella and fried calamari. All were delicious! Truly wonderful dishes. Entrees were equally great! Meatballs to die for! Best my fiance has ever had in fact. Perfect chicken parm and pasta. Our party got 4 desserts to go and they were all really great. I am not a huge fan of chocolate cake but even that was impressive. The Napoleon, the tiramisu and the cannoli cake were equally delicious. live about 3 hours away but, without a doubt, will return anytime if/when in NYC. Chef Salvatore came out to chat with his diners and he was sweet, gracious and took a picture with me! He introduced us to his son who was our host, in fact. It was a great experience from beginning to end. Thank you to Chef Salvatore for the wonderful meal, his family for running the front of the house so well, and Des for a truly memorable dinner! I cannot recommend a better place for a great Italian dinner if you are anywhere nearby!More
