Great night planned.....theater with the kids, and a great, signature Italian restaurant beforehand. The service was nice, but execution was abysmal. Why? We told them up front that we needed to be out by 7:30, and though we were there for an hour, the meal came out at 7:25, only AFTER reminding them 10 minutes earlier. Anchovies ordered with the... Its just a great New York Italian restaurant. It just feels right and if you want to create your own Italian dish, they will try and accommodate with a smile. Sal works the room like the pro he is. They have numerous specials that wont break the piggy bank. Also, some good wine values. We eat here every time we... More

There is a reason this restaurant has been in business for decades, and it is because they consistently serve excellent Italian food. My family and I ate here years ago and chose it again based on its Trip Advisor reputation. It is a fancy-looking-restaurant with uniformed servers. However, people dressed from very casual to quite formal were dining. They have... More

Great pizza and Italian food. Would highly recommend to anyone. I was hesitant at first about this place based on the name - doesn't sound very Italian. But boy was I wrong. It's no cheap, but as with most things, you get what you pay for. Definitely check it out sometime.

We enjoyed an excellent meal here and enjoyed the extensive menu. It is not cheap but very good Italian food. Service was very good! The tables are extremely close together but this seemed typical and we were not bothered by it. We did have reservations and I would recommend that you do call for them as it was very crowded... I am not always the biggest fan of Italian food, but this was a wonderful experience. The food, the service, and the Italian atmosphere

I've eaten here a couple times but most recently with my 17 year old twins. We had a range of foods from basic spaghetti and meatballs to chicken cacciatore. All were great. The sauce was neither too bland nor too spicy. My kids decided the mozzarella cakes (not sticks) were the best they ever had. The price was on the... More

Thank you to Sal and Vinny for making my birthday trip from Chicago to NYC a happy and flavorful day. Vinny ordered my husband and I a custom, beautifully tasteful dinner. Fried mozzarella that melts in your mouth, pumpkin ravioli that bursts with spice, tender veal and a nice sautéed spinach make the dinner complete. We had a beautiful bottle... More

This is a very well appointed restaurant, efficient and well run. There was a good range of food on offer so selection was quite straight-forward. The head waiter was somewhat over-zealous in pursuing a larger dinner order and did not seem at all impressed with us not wanting a starter! The food served was fine but nothing remarkable. The price... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
