Good Food, Reasonably Priced

We visited here before seeing Wicked at the Gershwin Theatre. I had the Reuben with pastrami. It was a decent size and the pastrami was very tender. The fries were cooked perfectly. We had the Bailey's cheesecake for dessert. It was a little small for the price, but very good. Our bill was... read more

I had a great time. The band was awesome, food was good. Bartender was always a step ahead of our needs. Will definitely visit again.

The best thing about this place is the location and being upstairs, has a great view of the street. The food was nothing great. Pastrami was dry and just not all that good. Service was so-so. Won't go out of my way to return.

As a group of 4 people we arrived for an evening meal . A Initial service was great setting our expectations for an enjoyable and relaxing evening. I requested a second beer; it did not arrive until additional prompting of the server. We expected bread with our meal; none arrived. Staff response was that there was no bread (surprising for... Tried to get in a few days before but the line was too long to sit around and wait. Managed to get straight in on my next occasion, had a steak which was okay and then a warm brownie for dessert. Staff were very busy and not so friendly, atmosphere - okay, tables close together.

My wife and I stopped in early on a Wednesday afternoon. It was too early for dinner and we were looking for someplace to grab a few appetizers and a few drinks before we headed down into the Times Square rush. This pub had great service, drinks and very nice appetizers. We had the waffle fries with three sauces and... More

Joan K was the best waitress we encountered in New York! She was nice and friendly; went above and beyond for us! Appreciated the continuous refill of our water goblets throughout our dinner. Buffalo wings were done to perfection and tasted delicious. Mushroom caps are a must. Manager greeted us at the door and thanked us for coming. Nice menu!

My husband and I stopped in here for a late lunch after checking into our nearby hotel. Their lunch menu had a good variety and each item included a free drink. We each ordered a glass of wine and the shrimp blt. It really was a bacon sandwich! Two small shrimp on the entire sandwich which was supposed to have... More

I visited the playwright twice in my last trip to NYC last month, after first discovering it in 2010 on a previous NYC visit. Firstly to have dinner. Greeted by the manager at the door, explained where everything was I may need (Bar, restaurant and bathrooms) I headed for the upstairs area and grabbed a seat. Dinner was a superb... More

We called in the day before the Wales Ireland six nations game to confirm they would be showing the game live on TV. When we turned up on Saturday morning we were asked for $20 each to watch their TV. We were very disappointed to have not been told this the day before so that we could have looked for... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
