We absolutely loved this restaurant. One of the best Italian food restaurants we ever ate in. Everything was so delicious. We can't wait to go back.

My boyfriend has dined here since 2000, so I was eager to see and experience this rare gem! He orders the same thing every time; a tomato and onion appetizer with fettuccine Bolognese. I quickly found out why! Our dinner was simply delicious and delightful. The staff was attentive and friendly, which enhanced this intimate atmosphere. I would recommend it... More

The location was fun - we sat on the street and enjoyed the Saturday evening passerby's. However, I don't think I have ever been given so little food in an Italian restaurant. I ordered Linguini with Clams and Shrimp at $16.95. It was tasty, but there was much less than a single of serving of pasta in it, very few... More

Open to the Greenwich Village street scene with average food and good service. Can get a bit crowded and noisy with a hectic crowds passing by the open restaurant.

I loved this restaurant. I had a delicious Penne alla Vodka and I was surprised to find them exquisite as if I was in a good restaurant in Italy. Good wine selection, perfect service. I highly reccomend it!

Lovely place, friendly and efficient service. Non-descript food. Pretty much what you'd expect at a sports bar.

Walking the neighborhood to find a lunch place, we two ladies happened on Porto Bello. Small cozy place. We ate outside. I had the most wonderful clams and shrimp in red sauce. The sauce was light! Not heavy tomato like most. Wonder, light and flavorful. My friends had chicken in mushroom sauce. Also, wonderful. Also, enjoyed talking to the proprietor.

Mmmmm, we had the mussels and the lasagna Bolognese, both wonderful. Enjoyed a late alfresco lunch on a gorgeous summer day. Several clocks on the walls, but not hurried. -Delicious desserts from a tray & worth the calories. -near NYU -reasonably priced -open air -good service [note: at time of writing the website above is for a pizza restaurant with... Amazing atmosphere and location, relatively inexpensive with well stocked bar with all the Italian goodies. I'm an Italian foodie, so I'm kind of hard to impress. I'd say the food here is solidly good, not ethereal, but quite good. What's magical here are the Italian guys tending to you with love, like you've stepped off the ferry in Napoli and... More
