I ordered a Tom Yum soup, and although the spiciness was good, there was not much substance. My husband ordered green papaya salad, which was so hot, it was basically inedible. We both like our food nice and spicy, but that salad was ridiculous. My husband could only take a few bites. I managed a few more bites myself, but... More

This restaurant serves delicious thai food. Period. The wait staff are all very attentive and friendly and the food is beautifully presented. The prices are fair too. Afterwards walk the high line which is lovely and full of flowers and vegetation. The highline is only feet away. It is a renovated elevated railroad track turned into an oasis of greenery.... More

I've eaten here many times. Food is good. Prices are very reasonable, especially the lunch specials.

While Sea Thai is part of the Spice Thai Group, the food is definitely not a good as Spice. The atmosphere is still trendy and Americanized, but the food just does not live up to its sister restaurants. My friend and I navigated the large menu and settled on the following appetizers: Oriental Curry Puffs and Papaya Salad. The curry... More

One of our favorite restaurants. Went with my podmates, and now it's a monthly staple for Ian and me! Mmm...pad thai.

Staying in East Village

Neighborhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighborhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighborhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
