Description: Spring Street Natural Restaurant was founded in 1973 in the heart of SoHo....
Spring Street Natural Restaurant was founded in 1973 in the heart of SoHo. The Restaurant quickly became a neighborhood fixture, serving up fresh, healthy cuisine at affordable prices to local denizens. In 1985 Spring Street Natural moved east to the corner of Spring and Lafayette. Tripling our space and adding abundant sunlight and windows, Spring Street Natural blossomed at this new corner location along with the surrounding area in what has become a vibrant neighborhood on the convergent edge of SoHo and NoLIta. Our philosophy from the beginning has been to serve whole natural foods that are minimally processed. Where ever possible we produce our items in house from fresh natural ingredients-- from organic whole wheat flour pie crusts to house made breads, fresh pasta, organic seitan and free range chicken sausages. We make the effort to ensure our produce and grains are certified organic wherever possible. All poultry is free range and naturally farmed without hormones. We are now in our fourth decade of serving healthy natural cuisine and still going strong. We offer a wide range of choices from completely vegan macrobiotic plates to sandwiches, salads, and innovative entrees with vegetarian, seafood and poultry choices. Be sure to check out our daily specials and join us for weekend Brunch, enjoy.

LOOKS LIKE IT IS CLOSED

This is / was a super and reliable spot for brunch, lunch, lovely food etc. So I returned in Jan 2016 - it may just be a quick refurb but it's shut up and looks gutted. So make sure to call ahead before planning around visiting! Don't think it's trading any longer.

Came across Spring Street, just coming off the Subway. We both had salads which were nice and fresh. The service was good, great atmosphere and I would like to return for dinner

We dropped in to grab a lunch and were really pleasantly surprised. Compared with Jack's Wife Freda - see review - eat here! We were seated and served promptly. We had a range of salads, mezze plates and soup. It was all promptly served and delicious. Super fresh and really good. One criticism is that it's very dark in the... More

The restaurant next door had such a long line we decided to check out Spring Street. The waitress was very sweet. food was good, noting to rave about. I had a salad for breakfast with seared tuna. The Tuna was definitely previously frozen; hubby had egg white omelete. Coffee taste was below average.

I've been visiting this restaurant occasionally since the mid 90s. It was quite memorable back then for its focus on fresh and natural preparations, and very popular too. The food hasn't changed. I got to try both of the day's soups (Tomato, Lentil/Veg) which were both outstanding in their own way (one earthy, one bright). My Cod entree special was... More

We showed up for an early dinner on a Monday night before a show and the large room was quite empty. Nevertheless we were seated right next to an occupied table where 2 ladies were having a loud and excited conversation, which kind of spoiled our dinner. The waiters were so busy with their own conversation that we had to... More

My partner and I ate at Spring Street Natural twice, what attracted us to this restaurant first was the selection of gluten dishes they had on the menu as well as those that could be made gluten free if required, the service was excellent as was the dishes.

Chose this place for a retirement dinner party. My meal was so undercooked I could not eat it at all (and I had asked for it better cooked when I ordered it). Once the waiter plopped the dish down, he was never again seen until it was time for the almost $400 bill! When I asked a bus boy to... More

Great food when you can sit outdoor and eat your lunch watching the crowds passing by. They have lunches with a mexican touch-black beans, corn salsa etc. lots of options on the salad, portions are big. Smoke salmon was very nice too.
