A Nice Experience, but a Little Short

Came here on a Friday night. Place was not too busy so we were seated right away. We were brought cold, rock hard wheat rolls that were inedible. My husband had a Manhattan cocktail to celebrate being in Manhattan. He said his drink was good. He ordered clam chowder which he said was different, clams too chewy, broth too watery.... More

Wonderful waitress & management fixed all the 'misses' but the new menu was difficult for both wait staff and diners. Waugu beef was a disaster with the connective tissue intact and impossible to cut through. I love spinach but it was not a good pairing for the delicate skate I ordered.

We visited here when we spent the weekend in New York City. We have been here before years ago. The restaurant has been totally renovated. The great view overlooking the Rockefeller Ice Skating Rink is still the same. My husband and I both had the seafood chowder, which was excellent! I had the signature dish crab cakes which were mostly... More

We kicked off a few days in New York with dinner watching the skaters and the snow at this Rockefeller Center classic. Service and food can't be beat. Atmosphere is unique. The Best.

Maybe the third time to try The Sea Grill but they rose way way above the bar this time due to a delicious selection of prixe fix choices for NY Restaurant Week. It was cold, ice slush, snow and horrific and we thought about staying closer to our hotel for safety. We were very glad we gingerly shuffled in the... More

Went here for a restaurant week and was nicely surprised. The restaurant has a beautiful view on Rockefeller ice skating ring and is very romantic. Restaurant week menu was really good, we did add the clam chowder to our order but it was surprising very watered down =( staff is very attentive and we would definitely consider coming back!

Came during restaurant week. Food was good but the service was great. Maybe because it was -1 out, not many people ventured out. Fewer than usual skaters but still a treat to watch. The food continues to be okay. Do recommend the ravioli which was quite exceptional. The other dishes were good.

Located a single level down from the Rockefeller Center ice rink, the restaurant commands a literally rink side view of the skating during winter months and presumably the Christmas atmosphere when the lights and tree are up. That's the best part of the experience. The rest of it you could get anywhere easily better in NYC. Service was average, the... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
