A Nice Experience, but a Little Short

This restaurant is in the heart of Rockefeller Center, and is accessed by an elevator at street level which takes you down to the restaurant. For $45 for a 2 course prix-fixe for lunch, you expect perfection, especially in NYC. The Sea Grill came up short. The seafood chowder was a little... read more

Great setting with and outside sitting area by the rockerfeller centre. The set lunch menu was excellent value. $45 for two courses, and it was lovely we had lobster ravioli, which was amazing. Lovely chilled wine, what more do you want.

We had lunch here before we went to the top of the Rock. We found New York quite cold so we were dressed quite casually in jeans and a jumper. My husband ordered a prawn salad and I ordered a Salmon dish. I asked the waiter, who wore glassed and looked in his late 40's, how big the portion of... More

Had lunch in the sunshine at an outside table. Service was prompt, friendly and attentive. Fish and Seafood excellent - a good (and reasonably priced) wine list.

We went based on a recommendation. I had the preset menu with their three specialties. I loved the chowder, it was rich and tasty. The crab cakes left a little to be desired. They were good but not great. The key lime pie was amazing. Service was great, very attentive and helpful. We expected a view to the ice rink,... More

After almost 12 hours in NYC (my first visit there), my colleague and I dined at this restaurant and were not disappointed. Our meals were delicious, and wine, the service great and it was a memorable way to end a wonderful day in NYC. The ambience of the restaurant and views were great too....looking out to the Rockefeller Centre! I... More

Reviews bodes well but the restaurant had no atmosphere and felt very dated. A trip back to the 80s in style and menu. Service was prompt enough but slightly robotic and the food was similarly formulaic. Bearable, but not exciting.

Came here on a Friday night. Place was not too busy so we were seated right away. We were brought cold, rock hard wheat rolls that were inedible. My husband had a Manhattan cocktail to celebrate being in Manhattan. He said his drink was good. He ordered clam chowder which he said was different, clams too chewy, broth too watery.... More

Wonderful waitress & management fixed all the 'misses' but the new menu was difficult for both wait staff and diners. Waugu beef was a disaster with the connective tissue intact and impossible to cut through. I love spinach but it was not a good pairing for the delicate skate I ordered.

We visited here when we spent the weekend in New York City. We have been here before years ago. The restaurant has been totally renovated. The great view overlooking the Rockefeller Ice Skating Rink is still the same. My husband and I both had the seafood chowder, which was excellent! I had the signature dish crab cakes which were mostly... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
