Fun atmosphere and good food

Ate here with my husband and daughters on our "man" weekend in NYC. It was a quick walk from the Boat Show (Javits Ctr). Used Trip Advisor to make reservation. Service was great, food was good. Garlic mashed potatoes to die for and Fresh Buffalini Mozzarella Tomato Salad was wonderful. They... read more

This is one of the best in NYC. The service is top notch and the food is great. We went for a terrific Christmas dinner. What a great time. Warning, this is a NY steakhouse, so you will pay for it. Not a budget restaurant at all.

I visited NYC for business and ate at Uncle Jacks steak house on 9th. The steak was amazing, perfectly cooked, slighted charred on the outside and beautifully perfect medium rare inside. Baked potatoes are huge, definitely share the sides. I would recommended Uncle Jacks to any steak lover.

We made reservations for 7pm but had to wait. People had paid for their checks but didn't leave. After fifteen minutes manage offer us free rounds of drinks. Which we all took advantage of n got the better drinks. The food was outrageous it was well worth the wait. The steaks came out just as we asked.

I would highly recommend dining at this fine establishment! The staff is very professional & the place is very old school elegant. You can dine at the bar, bar area tables, or the lovely dining room. The cuisine is SUPERB! You really can't go wrong here!

Uncle Jack's is just plain great. Was there after a Ranger's game. Sat at the bar (cozy & very warm) for drinks. Great atmosphere , excellent drinks. Dinner was excellent. Started with an app of clams oreganata (just okay not great). Main course was the Porterhouse for (2) cooked to perfection, melted in your mouth, I have none better. A... More

Had dinner on west side Saturday night @ 9. Hostess said booth was just opening up, we could wait at the bar. After 1 drink she led us to a tiny table, not a booth, claiming the booth was still full. She also said that the winter special menu which is prominently displayed on the website ended January 2. Filet... More

I've been to this location several times before, with wonderful ambiance, food, and service. Their menu does not have a single "less than delicious" item on it. They are all great. My favorite appetizers are the crab cakes and Kobe meatballs. The filet mignon I had was cooked to perfection. We were seated upstairs, in a slightly quieter location in... More

We were a party of 10 people from Australia who had Christmas lunch at Uncle Jacks. The service was fabulous and the food was extraordinary. The lobster with butter was to die for, the strip steak just melted in your mouth, the crab cakes were gorgeous, the lobster soup delicious and all the side vegetables were fresh and tasty. I... Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
