Had passed this restaurant several times while on my postal route and shopping at B&H Photo Video store directly across the street and never paid attention to it. One day I had decided to go out to eat because my wife wanted to dine out. So I suggested that we go someplace that was not too close or far from... More

Me and my wife were really looking forward to visiting a top New York steakhouse but unfortunately came away disappointed. The main problem was the service. The meal was too rushed and our waiter even brought my wife's steak while I was still eating my starter. The waiter was also more interested in pushing the high price plates and getting... More

We went here on a recommendation from our hotel and we weren't disappointed! The food was really well cooked, the staff were knowledgable and pleasant and for the quality of the food the price was good. I would certainly recommend going here in NYC.

The food and service were good, but did not meet my expectations after watching "Restaurant Stakeout" since it began. They were out of the smaller filet (which is not exceptional service) so I ordered the prime rib chop since it was the same price as the larger filet. It was huge and flavorful, but it was almost too charred on... More

They say " best steakhouse in NYC". Tonight they proved it. In a city where so many steakhouses treat you as though the " slam the serving" on the table is part of the steakhouse " experience", uncle jacks presents a classy atmosphere with an attitude that literally says " we will prepare whatever you want" Lead waiter Andrew was... Loved everything. Price was very reasonable. Staff was great polite. Actually gives you good amount of alcohol in their drinks unlike most places in NYC

While Uncle Jack's owner may speak of excellent service as a key to restaurant success, he may need to return to his NYC restaurant to do some checking. The steaks were exceptional, as were the appetizers and dessert tray we had but the service was disinterested at best. The waiters seemed to be in "discussion" as to who did what... More

I've come to know this establishment by watching Willy Degel's show, "Restaurant Stakeout," where he helps struggling restaurant owners find the source of their declining business.  Service was impeccable, but the food wasn't the best I've eaten, especially the steak. My husband and I both ordered the 16 oz. NY Strip Steak, and it was too seared for me. I... More

A Good spot to dine on 56 th Street when you have not planned where to go. Yesterday I dropped into this place where I had occasionally dined before. THey have excellent lunch specials daily that I noted but I opted for the Wagu meat loaf and was not disappointed. The meat was excellently cooked and served with very well... More

Although the food was nice, we left a little disappointed. We were aware of the rates going in, which in turn meant we had expectations. The staff met our expectation, although they struggled a bit with the wine. The letdown however was the food, as it was a little overcooked. This was not only the case with the meat, but... More
