WE went Christmas day evening for their special menu. The steak was amazing. I used my fork to cut it and it melted in my mouth. Best ever!

I did quite a bit of research before booking this meal. Both me and my partner are huge steak fans so we were really looking forward to a great steak in NYC on Xmas Eve. Unfortunately the food just didnt live up to the hype. The restaurant itself looked really nice - quite posh in fact. And the service -... More

I recommend definitely getting a steak. I really enjoyed the ribeye. Garlic mashed was a nice compliment, while we started with the oysters rickafeller and the baked clams as starters. Service was very good and attentive.

We wanted to eat someplace special on Christmas night and since we were visiting from out of town our son made a reservation at Uncle Jack's. He made a great choice! We arrived an hour early for our reservation so we decided to eat at the bar instead of waiting. I wasn't sure how I felt about that until we... More

Now I don't know if this is the best steakhouse in New York City, as I've not eaten at them all, but Uncle Jack's Steakhouse on 9th (Westside) does an OUTSTANDING steak, amongst the best I have ever eaten. As a regular visitor to New York from the UK, I love a decent steak. First time round, on New Year's... More

I can't comment on the food because we couldn't eat here. We visited about 5pm and was told that we could only have the set meal, which was far too much to eat for us. A pity because we have watched Willie Degels restaurant stakeout in the UK few times and wanted to try his place

As Uncle Jack's is around the corner from where my brother works, he had been meaning to visit for awhile. Finally the occasion arose. While the atmosphere is inviting and the service very prompt and accommodating, I am sorry to say, the food is very average at best, and not worth the top drawer prices it commands. We both ordered... More

Very nice place! The fillet mignon was perfectly cooked, the sushi is good but not as the meet we had. Service attentive and knowledgeable. I loved the creamy spinach. Good job uncle jack!

We found uncle Jacks Steak House while walking down 9th Ave, we read the Menu and decided to call in that evening. As we hadn't booked we had to wait at the bar for about 30 mins, but the staff kept us informed to when there would be a free table. The staff were excellent, the service was very good.... More

Our 2nd night of NYC steakhouse tour. Wife and I split the bone in ribeye. Started with wedge salad and had asparagus and garlic potatoes as sides. The salad was good, nothing out of the ordinary. Ordered the steak med rare and it was closer to medium, still delicious and I recommend it. The potatoes were very good. Asparagus was... More
