In the basement of a townhouse on quiet, yet trendy West Fourth St in Greenwich Village, The Place is the quintessential romantic and charming West Village restaurant. Cozy room with delicious food, we're never disappointed here.

Great value brunch for $16.99 including a cocktail. Food was delicious and just what was needed after walking around Manhatten.

This was a great time. Certainly worth the money, as the atmosphere and service was top notch. Get a seat by the fireplaces if possible. It will make the experience that much better.

This is a cute little restaurant in West Village with a cozy ambience and good for couples. The food is tasty but not particularly creative. My one complaint is that we felt very rushed; it was a Saturday night and it felt like they were trying to get us out as quickly as possible. Another complaint is that my food... More

A good place to have brunch on a Sunday afternoon in the West Village of New York. It was a small, pretty restaurant with simple menu but very tasty. Staff and Manager were very warm and welcoming. Would definitely recommend this place.

Went here while visiting friends in NYC. Small, quaint restaurant with good service and good food. The feeling is a bit cramped, but once seated it's okay, could get noisy, but we didn't mind since we brought in a nine month old with us...Good food...

Stopped here for Sunday brunch and were seated right away. The restaurant is cute. The pancakes and sausage were good. My wife had eggs which were also good. One annoying thing is that the waiter didn't write down the order and got the ingredients of the omelette wrong. Portions were not big, average I would say. We would go back... More

I read a lot of reviews trying to pick a place for our 1-Year Anniversary Dinner. The restaurant has a very intimate, upscale (without feeling stuffy) feel. We had a nice table on their street-side patio. They do have a lot of tables squeezed in there, so it was hard not to feel a bit cramped. The table behind us... More

It's out of the way in the West Village - a short walk from the subway to get there. It's small by upscale restaurant standards. The food and service, however, are incomparable. The staff is welcoming, gracious, personable, and oh-so professional. You feel at home. Want something? Just ask. They will do it for you. The food? Perfect. On this... More
