Red Bamboo was recommended by a friend, and I was excited, what with all the amazing restaurants in NY. It looked promising and the staff is super-nice, but I became very ill with food poisoning after I ate there. I had a veggie curry, but because almost all dishes are centred around fake meat, I think they should be more... More

We stopped at Red Bamboo for a snack on our way to the Film Forum. We couldn't decide on one appetizer, so we ordered four! And they were all delicious! Something here for everyone!

This place was alright... a lot of their appetizer items were fried except for the few that we got which include the dumplings, chicken satay and the Roti Canai. I enjoyed the dishes except for the dumplings- skin was too thick, tasted a little doughy... i wouldn't recommend. For entree, I got the BBQ ribs*- it was a little too... More

We visited here on a quiet night and were told "you are lucky you have the last table tonight as we have our staff party". We were then rushed through our courses with very poor service. My wife ordered a mushroom dish andthe mushroom was half cooked half raw. No one came to check on us and when the plates... More

I really love this restaurant. I lived in New York for years and while back visiting this weekend this was my choice of where to go for dinner. I am not a vegan, but if you are this place is a dream come true, as they have really created the textures of everything from fish to cheese cake. If you're... More

We have been to this restaurant on several occasions. If you are a lover of mock food this is a must stop location. It has a small space in Manhattan area. Usually very noisy, but the food is really good. Many a times we just get food packed from here, because parking is a problem.

I have loved Red Bamboo for the past 10 years. Food is delicious, service is amazing, and ambiance is lovely. Janet Jackson once called this her favorite restaurant on Jay Leno and I couldn't agree more!

A small restaurant with a menu which can make you really think hard, but frankly not really for Asian guys. The food was on the sweeter side and what I found strange was that there was no Green or red chilly available. Maybe we are so used to this in Singapore and other places in Asia. You could spice up... More

During my visit in New York I visited this place, I had some stir fry with some tofu chicken, the flavors were good but I guess the texture of the chicken threw me off a bit. I then ordered an oreo cheesecake which was absolutely delicious, I totally recommend it and its cruelty free which is always a plus. The... More

I am not vegetarian, but this place has great food. I wasn't sure about the chicken/meat replacments, but everything was very tasty. The atmosphere was welcoming and pleasant as well
