Exquisite

We started ordering these multi-layered soon after they opened -- "New York" published a glowing review and the cake lived up to its hype. I try to find excuses to stop by for a snack, at least twice a year when I have my annual eye check up. Always delicious, and it is such an elegant space.

A slice of cake IS expensive but worth it! I highly recommend this place. The cakes are elegant and tasty. A slice of heaven every time.

Do not miss the famous Lady M 1000 layer cake! It is light and ethereal. You could try it at home but my suggestion is not to even try...just order it. they have perfected it.

Walking the dog is one of my favorite things to do while traveling because it gets me out and into the neighborhoods. Usually I find a few hidden gems- Lady M Confections is just one of those spots. An over the top cakery around Madison and 79ave. From the crepe cake- hundreds of layers of crepes form a light but... More

We had the vanilla and green tea cake.....so delicious! The line to dine-in was too long, so we took our slices over to Bryant Park. We will definitely be going back! Expensive, but worth it!

Ordered the banana mille feuille cake. Taste-wise, it was delicious. The sponge cake and decent sized banana slices worked well together but it was slightly heavy on the cream for me. However, the prices caused more of a reaction. $8.00 for a slice and $2.50 for a cup of hot water which didn't even come with a description! Although you... More

Waited in line to try these cakes. Tried the chocolate raspberry, checkered (chocolate), and "original". The "original" is more like a multi-layered crepe. Very good, although not quite up to all the hype.

Small hole in the wall type of feel, but very modern looking. Lots of delicious crepe cakes, mousse and cheese cake cheesecake. It gets a long line and is very popular. A bit pricey but we're in NY after all

Milles crepes is delicate, light and delicious. Staff is young earnest and helpful. Decor is sleek white and minimal. Tables are small and if the place is busy (weekends) then you'll be squeezed in but the pastry will put you in into a pleasurable altered state of consciousness so you won't mind. Note that tip is included.

We came to the one next to Bryant Park and the public library we had to wait for about 10minutes for a table but it was well worth it....and I'm not usually fussed about desert and sweet food but it really was yummy and well worth it. I had the banana cake and I'm sure it was the nicest one... More

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
