After many beverages stumbled into this neat little place. Pizza was delicious and would definitely recommend for a take out slice or two

My husband loves NY pizza. So when we were in mid-town NYC for a weekend, we wanted authentic NY pizza. We discovered Ray's as it was right around the corner from our hotel. We went up and ordered from the counter for take out. Staff was pleasant and moved quickly. We had to wait about 15 minutes for our pizza.... More

So two things you have to eat within a hour or two of arriving in New York is Pizza and a Dirty Water Dog! We went into Ray's for a quick slice one night. Walk in order you slice grab a seat and eat. It was probably one of the best I've had. What makes it even better is we... More

We had been walking around New York, admiring all of the festive decorations and had just visited Times Square. We were searching for an inexpensive place to fuel up that was somewhat "authentic," (i.e., not TGIFriday's). We spotted Rays and it was a slice of heaven! Fast service, a counter to stop and rest your feet for a bit and... More

I have gone to Ray's for NYC pizza when in the city for years. I have found it to be consistently reliable for pizza. Ample seating, quick service, no complaints.

You can't go wrong eating at Ray's. Our family of three was in NYC in December 2014, and although this review is late, I found my sales receipt and wanted to comment on our experience. It was Christmas time (12/20/14) and the place, as usual, was crowded. The place was packed. We were unable to get a table but found... More

This Ray's pizza takes advantage of its prime location and reputable name to swindle hungry tourists. If you get toppings, a slice gets bumped from 3 to 6$ each because it's a so-called "specialty slice". Paying 38$ for 6 slices (no drinks) was bad enough, but to top it off, half the slices were BURNT on the bottom. Hygiene: I... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
