In a neighborhood where it is hard to find food that is both affordable and good, Sapporo offers a meal that is both. This restaurant is a quick walk from Rockefeller Center. We visited while we were waiting to head up to the Top of the Rock. I used to live around this joint. I have a lot of memories here. Things have changed. The ramen used to be better, in my opinion. It's too clean now. I don't know. I l liked it when it was old and the whole place looked like as if it was going crumble down. It's not the best ramen place... more

Excellent greasy-spoon Japanese serving ramen, curry rice, tonkatsu and the other Japanese lunch staples. Japanese owned and frequented by the Japanese who work nearby. The lines out the door tell the story. more
